I am sure I sure a BA 777 fly into Sydney about 7am Thursday morning and leave about 5pm same day - just wondered why.

Only normally see 747 in town or a 777 for a special royal or government charter

any ideas fellas?

Qantas is very sensitive to it image as a full service premium long haul carrier and like the guys said above dont want to cheapen that by cutting services and product whilst still flying under the name of Qantas itself.

Also some advice - if you go on the back of house tour don't eat anything in the kitchen as it may not have been washed. My wife ate a snake fruit on the back of house tour and spent 3 days violently ill - that was the only thing we could think that made her so ill.

The Intercon in Bali is great - the swim up bar is brilliant. You can lay by the poolside and watch the planes at the airport. The food was also very good. Check out the Ritz Carlton down the road - amazing.

From Sydney's point of view yep some of the large stadiums were decreased in size but the only one that I am aware of that was removed was the temp one errected on Bondi for the beach volleyball. As far as I am aware all other venues are still in use.
