Heard two Dakotas over here on their way south (I'm near MAN) in the last few days. Sadly not visible due to cloud but confirmed by FR24. Got a brief view of a third today before it disappeared into cloud.
First two had routed via Prestwick but today's had come via Inverness.

Saw exactly the same thing a couple of weeks ago though I didn't note down the exact aircraft involved (does the RAF have more than one now?) so not sure if two occasions make it a regular occurrence. I then watched it fly back south, albeit as a rather distant contrail.

I think I've read all the posts on this thread and something that I don't think has been mentioned is - why wouldn't Virgin object? Even if there is nothing in it for them wouldn't they want to make life difficult for their main competitor by objecting?
