I'm not sure the thrust lever change override really did much - looks and sounds like the airplane contacted the runway about a second later, just when you can hear the engines start spooling up.Jump to post
My only complaint is that when it came to birds, there were a lot of situations where the lens would focus on the wrong thing, or not focus on the birds face. Are you using multiple AF points? Try using a single AF point, and place it squarely on the area you want in focus. I am using the center po...Jump to post
Lift is reduced in a climb only assuming a constant AoA at the same speed. Unless you're just doing a very small climb, you'd point the nose up to increase AoA. Since AoA is increased, lift increases in your typical climb. More lift means more drag, which is offset by thrust. The engine is part of ...Jump to post

How is the Gen 1 Canon 100-400L in comparison to the 70-200? I know it is slower, and the zoom is clunky, but considering I intend to do wildlife photography when not planespotting it would probably make sense for me to have the range available. Sample photos of the lens look pretty decent to me as...Jump to post
Most of our house has pretty standard warm white - couldn't tell you the temperature, but probably 3000 - 4000K or thereabouts. Exception is the kitchen and bathroom, which both have recessed LED lights in the ceiling, and for which I purposely bought 6000 K (I think) lights. I love them, especially...Jump to post

Glancing at your phone while driving too fast on a unknown road it all you need. Glancing at your phone while driving the speed limit on a known road is all you need. My local camera shop is quoting 800 dollars for a used Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L I would not pay $800 for a used EF 70-200 F/4L, unless it was the IS version. I bought my non-IS version for about $500 used. It's a fantastic lens; great quality through the range and extremely sharp, and just about the ...Jump to post
I guess I'll be the one person here saying "good for her". I mean, this doesn't affect my life in the slightest, so there's no reason to get upset over it. I wholeheartedly agree with this, but mostly because the President (and the other members of the government) should be legislating for the future of the country and citizens. My opinion: at the start of your term, you should be between 35 (the current minimum age) and 55. I'm also in favor of age ra...Jump to post

I hope his wife and his kids can come to some agreement over his estate, funeral arrangements, etc. (or maybe they already have). There was a lot of contentiousness there after they got married.
I want to find my style as a photographer and be able to take good pictures. Besides the basic “practice everyday”— what other things should I be practicing and or researching ? What have you found useful in your journey? No need to pigeonhole yourself into a "style". Don't even worry abo...Jump to post

Can we lift photos from facebook and upload them under our name as long as we give credit in the remark field? My understanding is that you need either: 1.) to have permission from the photographer. or 2.) to be posting photos that you now own, like photos inherited from parents or whatever. It's a pity that the world knows him best for a keyboard song (although that was his background). I don't think that's how the world knows him best. Especially since that song has a guitar solo in it, too. The name "Eddie Van Halen" and the word "guitar" are synonymous. Weirdest...Jump to post
Exposure-wise I think both are within tolerance, although the second is certainly in need of a saturation/contrast boost (and I'm surprised it wasn't rejected on that basis). This actually illustrates the kind of broader tolerance bracket I'd like to see, rather than the narrow, knife-edge kind we ...Jump to post
8 is worth watching just for it's weirdness. Having just re-watched The Last Jedi , I guess my opinion stays the same. But I really don't find it a particularly good movie. I guess at some point I will have to watch The Rise of Skywalker just to see how they managed to close this clusterf*ck of a t...Jump to post

Peloton is the first thing that comes to mind and I've heard great things...but it's so expensive! Eh...probably start with the original trilogy 4, 5, and 6. Maybe skip 1 entirely, then watch 2 and 3 on mute. No need to watch 7, since it's a repeat of 4. 8 is worth watching just for it's weirdness. I haven't seen 9, and don't know if I ever will. On the I-5 Northbound from Seattle towards the Canadian border: Stretches of alternating 60 mph and 70 mph limits. I note that doing 60 mph I am in the slowest quartile of traffic. So why are screeners more strict with photos taken in perfect daylight than with photos taken at night? Because photos taken in daylight are, by and large, much easier to get right. All I will say is the following: A.net looks for high-quality images , not high-quality photos.
