AF KL group has officially stated that all B787s going forward are going to KLM exclusively whilst the A350s will go to Air France. The above has been officially stated by the airline recently whilst this article of La Tribune is not an official source pertaining to the wide body fleet mix decision....Jump to post
I foresee EK expanding its USA services only after it gets the incremental bilateral seats for India which is expected by end October.
It is expected that DXB will be given between 14,000-20,000 extra weekly seats.

There is a lot of incorrect stuff posted above by users so allow me to provide a reality check: 1. PIA's on board product in J and Y class has not been updated since 2007 and nor are there any plans what so ever for this to be improved in 2019 nor 2020. PK's B777 product is actually now way behind B...Jump to post
Keep dreaming as this will not happen. If JAL can’t see the need to operate to DXB which has 10 times higher demand and also higher yield compared to ISB, then there is no merit.
Plus as far as I recall JAL does not operate any more fifth freedom routes at all.
If BA order the smaller 225 seater version then realistically the aircraft from LHR can fly 4000nm nonstop with a full payload of pax + cargo. This means westbound it can fly up to Calgary, southbound up to Luanda and eastbound up to Mumbai. It is the perfect option to replace the B788 on routes und...Jump to post

The range map shown by the article’s owner is inaccurate and is based upon the actual published range of 4700nm in a standard configuration. With 230 seats on board and 95kg average pax/baggage weight, the A321neo-XLR can do 3400 nautical miles out of LGW. This means that the aircraft cannot even re...Jump to post

Actually the realistic flying range of the A321Neo-XLR from majority of Tier 1 USA city airports is 3400-3500 nautical miles in a standard dual class configuration of about 175-180 seats along with 23kg baggage allowance. This means for AA out of JFK it can fly nonstop to LIM, CDG, TXL, AMS and BCN....Jump to post
So the remaining “expected orders” are Spirit, Royal Jordanian and one US carrier (ordering A321Neo-XLR).Jump to post
If the B777X order to be reduced, Emirates will most probably drop the 35 -8X it have on order. They need the B778X for certain LATAM nonstop flights + AKL (once the A380s leave). But overall I agree with you that 35 B778Xs might get exchanged for 20 B778s + 20 B789s. I also foresee 20 B779s being ...Jump to post
Clark said that “once we get these smaller aircraft in, like the A330neo and the 787-9, we’ll be able to grow the network significantly again,” opening routes that were too small for the much bigger Airbus A380s and Boeing 777-300ERs that make up the current fleet. Can it do istanbul-sydney nonstop? In a normal 340 seater two class configuration with the increased range, this A351 319T version can do IST-PER nonstop without much hassle but SYD MEL which are an additional 2500km flying distance won’t be possible. The only way I feel IST-MEL/SYD would be flown ...Jump to post
Very interesting, also noting that the Fuel volume has stayed at 159000l. Is there some games at hand in making the range just top trump the 778X? Indigo officially announces that it will be launching new daily nonstop flights to Chengdu, China from Delhi using an A320Neo effective 15Sep.
In addition 6E also announced new daily Hong Kong -Calcutta nonstop flights effective 20Aug using an A320Neo.
RJ has 2 E75s + 2 E95s + 3 A319s + 2 A321s + 6 A320s to be replaced, so that means 15 aircraft.
From a commercial perspective, I would therefore expect an order for 10 A220-300s + 5 A321NEOs to be placed along with 5 options (2 for A223s + 3 A321NEOs) thus totaling 20 aircraft.
In a best case scenario, most definitely Tehran airport would challenge the GCC hubs + IST for Asia bound traffic from EU. I support the B787 over here with a mix of -9s and -10s to be ordered purely because I believe in fleet standardization and KE already operate 10 B789s and no A350s.
