I foresee EK expanding its USA services only after it gets the incremental bilateral seats for India which is expected by end October.

Keep dreaming as this will not happen. If JAL can’t see the need to operate to DXB which has 10 times higher demand and also higher yield compared to ISB, then there is no merit.

Plus as far as I recall JAL does not operate any more fifth freedom routes at all.

Actually the realistic flying range of the A321Neo-XLR from majority of Tier 1 USA city airports is 3400-3500 nautical miles in a standard dual class configuration of about 175-180 seats along with 23kg baggage allowance. This means for AA out of JFK it can fly nonstop to LIM, CDG, TXL, AMS and BCN....

RJ has 2 E75s + 2 E95s + 3 A319s + 2 A321s + 6 A320s to be replaced, so that means 15 aircraft.

From a commercial perspective, I would therefore expect an order for 10 A220-300s + 5 A321NEOs to be placed along with 5 options (2 for A223s + 3 A321NEOs) thus totaling 20 aircraft.

Not at all in fact it would lose millions of $ since it’s a low yielding VFR route primarily. Attracting California pax to SGN via SEA would further be lower yielding as DL would offer a similar one stop service like JL NH CX KE OZ PR BR.
