DL can't expand that much more...not with gate space being at a premium. DL potentially has to "sacrifice" existing service to bring in new ones. The amount of construction at the airport isn't helping them much. But in the future, I'll be curious to see what DL does when some of those gat...

I remember AS beginning Russia Far East service with 727-200's.

At the same time, both Aeroflot and Mavial Magadan flew to the Russian Far East as far as SEA, through ANC.

The MCO-SYR cut on B6 is especially disappointing. Allegiant must be killing their yields with SFB/PIE-SYR. Finally, some changes at AS. SEA is way over served to Asia. Not surprising to see MF pull out. That's too bad...but I totally agree that SEA is way over-served to Asia. With CX going to HKG (and going daily next month), I'm sure it is taking traffic away from MF. Ironically, MF increased their SEA-SZX frequency from 2X weekly...

The irony is when DAB had the old, tiny terminal back in the late 80's/early 90's, DAB had several airlines like EA, DL, AA, PA Express, Presidential, CO and US. When DAB debuted their new terminal, they all left...even when some airlines went out of business.

I always felt like PDX-PAE was a weird route to do 4x daily. The only way it made sense was if the connection opportunities to east coast i.e. IAD, ATL, FLL, etc. were available, but they're not. Why would anyone want to connect from PAE to go to California when the E175 can do it fine and when PAE...

PAE-SMF sounds right. That’s my guess too. PAE-OAK is my next guess. I don’t see PAE-GEG being that big of a market, but I could be wrong. Something like PAE-OGG could be a dark-horse if they are able to start mainline there. AS doesn't really have any interest in OAK. Loads between SEA and OAK are...

My guess is that some of the routes are not working out for AS...maybe there will be new mainline service. It appears AS is replacing a LAX flight with a PHX flight. Or UA is reducing their flights at PAE already.

no more mergers please (even though I sadly agree AS & B6 will likely end up together), and SY has a loyal following in MSP, as well as an impressive growth strategy going on. Alaska is hanging thin, and will be for a few more years You'd just better hope some like F9 or NK doesn't go after B6....

For AS, that may be the only flight that makes business sense for them. Is there really a market for AS beyond the single E-175 nonstop? AS is truly an outsider in the lower Midwest.

I don't think there will be too many more AS PHX outside of what you see. There's too much AA and WN there, IMHO. If anything, you will see additional frequencies...like PAE-PHX. I think you will eventually see the A220 extend current seasonal routes to year-round or near year-round, and add frequency to other routes. For example, both ONT and OAK could eventually benefit from more comprehensive service to ATL (frequencies closer to what you see in SMF or SJC, but on the A2...

I think you mean KE through ICN...not KL...and besides, KL doesn't fly to SEA.

RWA380 posted some departed flight links that showed Reno Air Express flew it several times a day with J31s. I'm pretty sure AA flew it express during their hub days. That's probably very true...I'm sure Wings West (AA Eagle) flew the route using J31 or SWM aircraft. Wings West also flew OAK-SBA br...

Yes...I agree that any EAT-OAK would definitely have to heavily subsidized. However, I don't think LF will go to ACV because of the proximity of CEC. I think there is some traffic that CEC is seeing is coming from ACV, since it's only an hour or so away. I still think it would be natural to see LF ...
