My 2 cents - I’m much more excited for my flights when they’re on exciting equipment…. A flight on an a320 or 737 is hardly exciting. I’ll go out if my way and pay more to book 757s and widebodies when possible. If I was flying 737s and a320s on LLCs all the time I wouldn’t enjoy it either. I usual...
Jump to postI'm booked in a few weeks on an AA red-eye flight LAX-MIA that leaves LAX at 11:20pm and the meal offerings in J (and F) are a full dinner, as one would expect on flights departing during, well, dinner hours and NOT close to midnight on this route. I checked and the AA red-eye flights to JFK are ser...
Jump to postHopefully Piedmont gets the youngest frames and can delay the inevitable a little longer. I’m not arguing the point at all, but at technical level*, couldn’t they keep rotating the frames in and out of MZJ until they all ran out of time? Jump to postA 280 seat 772 is too much but BF can fill a 411 seat A350 pretty well? Not sure what your question is. Nobody has mentioned the A350 (yet). You claimed that the 772 would be too much aircraft for AF. I responded by saying if a 772 with 280 is too much aircraft, how can Frenchbee fill a whole A350 ...
Jump to postSkyTeam has a minimal presence at EWR these days, so there won't be any feed to this flight. And, looking at the history of this route, it went from AF 747 in the beginning and was progressively downgauged over the years, ending up on a DL 763 before being dropped. That's why I think a 772 is too m...
Jump to postSurprised it's going to be the 777-200. I would have thought A330-200 would be more appropriate given the difficulty they are going to have attracting customers on this new flight. Jump to postDid AA not even bother applying? This is disappointing as it keeps it "difficult" to fly USA to South Africa on OneWorld.
Jump to postDesperately, selfishly hoping for MIA-South Africa. I know its been talked about to death here but hell, anything AA South Africa would be nice. No airline without a 1-2-1 business class should even be considered for 5 stars imho I did my first LH long haul flight back in May of this year. It was on the 748 JNB-FRA in Business (lower deck). Honestly, besides the wonderful flight attendant serving us, everything else about the flight was a d...

Such sad news. I was fortunate enough to fly them a little over a month ago, JNB-CPT and CPT-JNB in business class. The flight attendants were great, the hot meal service was fantastic and the planes were in great condition (at least the cabins were). On-time departures on both flights.
Jump to postI lived there for years and regularly used the AirTrain at JFK. E train or LIRR to Jamaica were way faster than a car in traffic, especially during rush hour. I was definitely not alone. I can personally confirm that ARN is - or at least was when I went through there - a mess. Had a mid-afternoon flight to JFK on May 13th, arrived 3 1/2 hours early. The line for security in Terminal 5 stretched the entire length of the terminal. Fortunately I was eligible for Fast Track so I was abl...

BA has major staffing issues. Therefore American Airlines will operate one of it's Miami frequencies for the summer. It's not speculation, it's fact. Whatever the reason, this is good news. AA has a much better J product than BA and if you are using miles, BA costs hundreds of dollars while AA is a...
Jump to postAA's international business class is nothing flash, frankly. Their first class looks almost worse than business and a recent review by a renowned YouTube airline reviewer was not flattering. They are "Preliminary 1, Preliminary 2, Final 1, Final 2 (if needed)" they are phases of schedule planning published in airportal.

Jump to postI don't think there will ever be another runway added at EWR, there just isn't room both on the ground and in the airspace to accommodate it. So the future of EWR is less smaller planes and more larger planes.
