My first was on EA 757 on July 2, 1986 on a "thru flight" EWR-MCI-LAX. After that, it's been UA (legacy) EWR-ORD, SFO-EWR, DL (Song) EWR-FLL, a CO 757-300 FLL-EWR and plenty of AA flights MIA-DFW, MIA-LAX, MIA-PUJ, MIA-EWR, MIA-DCA, MIA-EGE.

Also, airlines would fly their widebodies as the last flight out of a hub to a smaller city (ORD-SYR comes to mind) because it was less expensive to park the plane at SYR vs ORD overnight.
