The few times I now see any of the old American branding next to the current I'm glad and pleased. The silver and AA just looks so dated now. The new is very modern and stands out well. I love going to MIA or CLT and seeing 10 of more new AA tails lined up.

Gate 342 at LAX
I've noticed that AA has arrivals at a Gate 342 occasionally. Often its the B789 evening flight from DFW and can't seem to figure out where this gate is located. I'm thinking it's one of those gates at the far west at LAX that uses buses to transport passengers to the main terminal area?

I agree deltadawg, the DL 739ER's don't seem bad to me either. 26 A,F are the most comfortable to me. The wall lines up perfectly to rest my head on however the A321's have more of a gap, so it's not as comfortable. Also the interior of the 739ER looks more modern to me.

I fly often on mostly U.S. carriers and remember particular F/A's by how well they perform their duties and interact with others. Not by their appearance. I agree that a lot of the senior flight attendants are more friendly and seem to enjoy their career compared to younger ones.

FL also had flights between RIC and PHL for a short time. I flew this route 2x. On a side note, in Sept 2 of the 3 AA RIC-DFW flights will change to 738s

It appears that UA is in fact using the 739ER into LGA. UA flight 910 was flown by N37437 today (3/22/17) from ORD. A quick look at UA summer schedules shows the 739ER will indeed fly in and out of LGA several times daily this summer.

I recently flew on 2 refurbished Airbus, an A320 outbound and an A319 on my return. Very comfortable rides, but I did notice the overhead bins look "flimsy" compared to the 739ER bins. A few times I thought a couple might jolt open during turbulence and touchdown.

I noticed UA.com is showing 739ER flights into and out of both LGA and DCA for the summer schedule. Are these just placeholders or actual equipment up gauges? LGA is showing several IAH and ORD flights on 739ER's while DCA is showing the daily DEN flight as a 739ER.

On a similar note, does anyone know which L-AA 738 will keep the bare metal scheme as a retrojet after the entire fleet was painted? Slightly off topic but I'm booked on a DL A321 into PHX Jan 2017. I was surprised to see the DL A321 scheduled that far west since they seem to mostly stick to Florida and major east coast cities.
