These moves will be taking place in Nov. NK will also move in with Delta at either Term C or D
Jump to postThe few times I now see any of the old American branding next to the current I'm glad and pleased. The silver and AA just looks so dated now. The new is very modern and stands out well. I love going to MIA or CLT and seeing 10 of more new AA tails lined up.
Jump to postMCO isn't too bad but I wouldn't consider it to be the best. The times I'm there the TSA lines are ridiculous but I figure it's to be expected given how popular Central Fla is. I agree with JAX being up there. That's a nice facility. The SMF WN/AS terminal is really nice as well. My top 3 airports a...
Jump to postI've noticed that AA has arrivals at a Gate 342 occasionally. Often its the B789 evening flight from DFW and can't seem to figure out where this gate is located. I'm thinking it's one of those gates at the far west at LAX that uses buses to transport passengers to the main terminal area?
Jump to postWho cares about what airline employees dislike about passengers? Passengers are the customers (who fund their paychecks) , like it or not. How about we start a list of things airline employees do that passengers dislike? Nice attitude there  That list wld annoy me as a fellow passenger and as...
Jump to postNonsense, you would see UA exit SJU first (and that is not going to happen). SJU still has a whole lot of traffic to the mainland and AA is the largest legacy In SJU. With service to MIA, DFW, ORD, CLT and PHL. Please illuminate us on how you figure UA would exit SJU before AA or DL? UA has actuall...
Jump to postI'm book on an AA 772 (DFW-MIA) in 1st and noticed on seat.guru there are two versions. Does AA intend to have 2 different 772 configurations or which is the final seat count? Vers. 2 or 3?
Jump to postWhile I agree with your commentary, at some point the airport authority has to accept that they're stuck trying to put lipstick on a pig. As a former Angeleno, I can't see ONT ever becoming a viable alternative for leisure travelers heading to SoCal tourist attractions due to its distance and commu...
Jump to postI also think the fact that many pax will pay more to avoid connecting in New York gets overlooked on the PHL add. People will pay more for a direct flight, and they will pay more to avoid connecting in problematic airports (ie JFK). Given how often there are connection issues, people simply don't w...
Jump to postHas it been discussed if AA will eventually remove the ptv's from the 738's and LAA Airbus? Consistency is a factor for me when booking air travel. Are you serious? Don't you know you shouldn't answer a question with a question. But since you asked I'm very serious. Do you have answer or can you po...

I agree deltadawg, the DL 739ER's don't seem bad to me either. 26 A,F are the most comfortable to me. The wall lines up perfectly to rest my head on however the A321's have more of a gap, so it's not as comfortable. Also the interior of the 739ER looks more modern to me.
Jump to postIs AA putting the new dark grey seat covers with the red accent on the older 738s? I've flown on a three former US Airbus and all had the new seat covers.
Jump to postI fly often on mostly U.S. carriers and remember particular F/A's by how well they perform their duties and interact with others. Not by their appearance. I agree that a lot of the senior flight attendants are more friendly and seem to enjoy their career compared to younger ones.

Jump to postFL also had flights between RIC and PHL for a short time. I flew this route 2x. On a side note, in Sept 2 of the 3 AA RIC-DFW flights will change to 738s
Jump to postHas anyone seen or flown on an A320 that has the P2 refurbishment? I mostly wld like to know if they do indeed have AVOD like the A319.
Jump to postMCI is a dump. Plain and simple. Old design. Cramped areas, food selection in some terminals is a joke. Put down the kool-aid people, stop living in the past. Jump to postI saw a 32B with red tips on the sharklets recently.
Jump to postI think it was more "under-winged" than under powered. As I recall, the wing span was reduced in order to allow DL to fit it into certain gates. And I flew it, too. Sweet airplane, one of my favorites. I don't remember anything about it being "funky" in crosswinds or on final ap...

Jump to postIt appears that UA is in fact using the 739ER into LGA. UA flight 910 was flown by N37437 today (3/22/17) from ORD. A quick look at UA summer schedules shows the 739ER will indeed fly in and out of LGA several times daily this summer.
Jump to postI recently flew on 2 refurbished Airbus, an A320 outbound and an A319 on my return. Very comfortable rides, but I did notice the overhead bins look "flimsy" compared to the 739ER bins. A few times I thought a couple might jolt open during turbulence and touchdown.

Jump to postI will greatly miss the 757 for its looks and 763 for the 2-3-2 seating. I miss the DC-10 (AA) and L1011 (DL).
Jump to postDoes anyone know if N659DL will keep the Skyteam livery after its refurbished?
Jump to postI noticed UA.com is showing 739ER flights into and out of both LGA and DCA for the summer schedule. Are these just placeholders or actual equipment up gauges? LGA is showing several IAH and ORD flights on 739ER's while DCA is showing the daily DEN flight as a 739ER.
Jump to postAccording to https://sites.google.com/site/newamericanfleet/ the 738 fleet is at 66%. Should those paint lines pick up some speed now that the US mainline fleet has been completed?
Jump to postOn a similar note, does anyone know which L-AA 738 will keep the bare metal scheme as a retrojet after the entire fleet was painted? I would guess either N901AN, the first 737-800, or N908NN, the last one delivered in the old scheme (like N838AW). I believe its N908NN that will remain in the clAAsi...

At least now you have Spirit (NK) to help with the yellowbird memories.
Does anyone know what it is being constructed at MCO? There are 5-6 huge cranes working on a structure south of the terminal between the parallel runways.

Jump to postI notice NK seems to have several planes with mismatched parts. Primarily their A319s in my experience.
Jump to postB6 has had BOS for some time, so I agree with the general sentiment that this is mainly DL's attempt to take a bite out of their market share, we'll see how this pans out in the long-term. Agree. And, according to Massport, WN will move to another terminal in 2017/18, which will allow DL to add mor...
Jump to postI, for one, am relieved. Makes two of us. I thought DL's current livery was well done the first time I saw it in person, it didn't have to grow on me. Jump to postSlightly off topic but I'm booked on a DL A321 into PHX Jan 2017. I was surprised to see the DL A321 scheduled that far west since they seem to mostly stick to Florida and major east coast cities.
Jump to postThanks for the info, I'll be looking out for an official announcement soon. Domestic hops are the only time I get to enjoy twin engine long haul aircraft. I'm hoping for hub to hub training flights to try this beauty out. Also, has UA announced plans to use the 77W on any domestic flights prior to long haul?
Jump to postB6 has flown their A320s with sharklets into LGA in the past. I don't know which gate it used because I saw it on the taxiway.
