Those aircrafts were a little before my time and or interest in airliners, but your points are well taken. But with 737's,757's,767's, 777's and ALL the Airbuses, that only leaves the MD11 and the 747 as...Jump to post
I have often seen for example pictures in the database of Air Jamaica aircraft in Frankfurt that obviously cannot fly directly there for lack of range etc.
My question is do they simply hop all the way paying the accompanying fees, or do they have some sort of payload for at least part of the way?
I knew there would be grumbling from some of those deep pocketed BA customers. The more BA tries to squeeze out of that tin can the more they run the risk of losing more money. I love and will miss Concorde like th...Jump to post
EWRvirgin I guess it depends on ones definition of "involuntary". If you don't bother loading late boarding PAX bags because there is another flight in an hour or less, OR loading and sending early arriving PAX bags onward because at le...Jump to post
Maybe someone can clue me in. At one point in time I remember that your butt and your bag had to be onboard the same flight/aircraft. And if said "couple" wasn't, your bag was subject to removal, delaying the flight. So how come at least on domestic US flights, bags have arrived on earlier or later ...Jump to post
All valid points MattD. BTW, thank you for the info on Disney vs Sony. We may end up in the Supreme Court yet again! Why doesn't the news accurately portray the RIA pursuit of downloaders? The RIA is primarily concerned with the "sharing" of files as opposed to the act of downloading. Remember in...Jump to post
I am drooling with envy... Even if Concorde continued to fly I don't see me EVER being able to afford such an expenditure.
Least not without winning a Lottery of some kind!
What a well documented report!
That was the next best thing to actually flying Concorde!
LHR is fascinating for the variety of airlines etc, however neither of them rates well in terms of manueverability. LGW is a nightmare for non EU travelers. I guess I'm in the minority based on the posts so far to this.
However, here goes.... American Airlines need to change that tin can look ASAP!
Classic it maybe, but its very long in the tooth, especially if the aircraft is the least beat old or dirty!
Just have a look at Aeromexico for proof!
Is it me or do FA deliberately choose to bump every aisle passenger with either a service cart or their hips as they go up and down the aisles? Never thought I would see the day the sun set on that empire!!
Is there an airline flying now that reached as far globally?
The classiest crew uniforms, flying the most jumbos, and the most recognizable name in the business.
I miss ya Big Blue!
I thought I was the only one who noticed that there is NO longer any matching of baggage claim tickets to the passenger. Not even on international flights.
