Flying To New York City

I am planning on taking a couple day trip to NYC this fall and staying in Mid-Town. What is the most convenient of the three airports to fly in and then taxi into downtown from. (I know this is one of those topics that has probably been discussed before but I tried searching and all I did was lock u...

RE: Too Soon For The A380?

How much heavier (empty weight) will the A380 be than the B744?

I'm not a big Airbus fan (I know I shouldn't be judgmental only riding on one once) but this plane can possibly make a lot of money for people.

RE: Lufthansa Regional: What Is The Logo?

On-topic, it looks like the fabric pattern from a hoop skirt in the 1950s.

If this is a Code-Share airline with Lufthansa, why do they not have the same or similar livery? Or is that commonplace in Europe?

One of my favorites is <acronym title="Chicago - O'Hare International (ORD / KORD), USA - Illinois">ORD</acronym> and least favorites is <acronym title="Chicago - Midway (MDW / KMDW), USA - Illinois">MDW</acronym>. At least they're not too far away from each other. <acronym title="Chicago - Midway (...

I would not be surprised if TZ picks up a few more B753s. They are still adding flights and routes.

RE: MLB Playoff, NHL, And NFL Charters Post Them Here

Hey Flairport,
Was that an example, using The Colts in your topic, or are you saying The Colts are chartered with Northwest now? They had always used TZ up to now, and occasionally, the would take an L10.

I'm pretty sure ATA transports the NBA Indiana Pacers and the NFL Indianapolis Colts.

UAL 777 Contrail is probably correct on his prediction.

RE: "Famous Aircraft" Used In Movies And TV?

Hey Skipper, I think I saw an interview with Mr. Lacy on a Discovery Channel television show (it could be another cable network) a few years ago talking about private jet ownership and Fractionals. He talked about his Lear (I don't remember the model). A.T.A. has had aircraft in a few movies. "Die H...

RE: "best Airport For Plane Spotting?"

Years ago, on the north side of Phoenix Sky Harbor, you could climb on top of a building (it may have been a restaurant) and sit on benches watching the approaches from the east. I'm sure that's been done away with by now. Beautiful scenery all away around. Mountains to the northeast and south-south...
