*yawn*.. The attacks against either side (Air Canada/Westjet) are getting boring, tired, and old. It takes a responsible business to adapt QUICKLY to the ever-changing airline industry, and hopefully OTHER carriers can take note to this, instead of continuing to bleed revenue in places that can easi...Jump to post
I agree with the first few posters, about this being amusing to watch. First of all, you get employees who don't show up to work to 'make a point', and now you want OTHER employees around in case the same thing happens? Looks like the cause of a dying and wounded beast. I'm *terribly* sorry for all ...Jump to post
I'd imagine that most Airlines probably have an attire and appearance regulation.
I.E, no hair below the collar, well-groomed beard/moustache, etc.
It only exemplifies customer service. The nicer your employees look, the better chance *I* will fly on your airline.
Merry Christmas to all! Unfortunately, this is an example of SOME employees in a company who take matters into their own hands to rectify a situation that they cannot. It makes THEM look bad. I hope that when they start throwing the axe around again, the group of employees who first started this are...Jump to post
Welcome to Winter. It's crappy here in YYZ too. This is the type of thread on this website that needs to be locked immediately after the information is posted. There is little to no point to argue this back and forth, neither way. hey guys, I found the picture below after a quick search. It appears that the slide is quite steep, so i'd imagine that there's some kind of surface on the slide to help you slow down. That slide looks really steep though eh? I've also heard NEVER to wear loose fitting pants or khaki-style pants whe...Jump to post
Does this really surprise anyone? Have you ever tried to get credit after declaring bankrupcy? It's next to near impossible. With no offense to anyone here, I think it's terribly difficult for some people to imagine standing behind your CEO, no matter what has happened in this case. The people of Westjet are TERRIBLY loyal (in a good way) to their CEO and management team. They've created an atmosphere at Westjet that is p...Jump to post

More has to be done I would agree, but are these measures not economical? Yes, I retract partially my statement. AC7E7, May I ask what you have against Beddoe? (Current circumstances put aside). Again, I find it funny. We, as Canadians, tend to do nothing but complain about everything and anything. Oh man. You know what? A LOT of people here think they're a specialist in something. Unless you have experience and education related to running a company behind you, all the comments you make are just reasonable conjecture. So what? They had *1* bad quarter. Whats the big deal? Now, if they have *4...Jump to post
It's to minimize the amount of cleaning they have to do in the cabin from your dirty fingers. -- Cost reductions. Okay Okay, I couldn't resist.. haha Joking aside, I agree with everyone else.. it's to make you feel like the airline cares about your comfort. Some restaurants do that as well. 1011yyzJump to post
We better wake up here in Canada and start providing adequate security to our major transportation locations, (air/sea/rail) before something bad really happens, and the big guns are pointing towards us (metaphorically, not literally). *I* personally have experienced totally lax security on both my ...Jump to post

I think it's the same everywhere you go. The stickler is that most cities / municipalities have by-laws against loitering in public places. Unfortunately, the hobby we choose happens to be a 'loitering' situation. We're staying in an area for an undeterminate amount of time, in an area that is highl...Jump to post

It is garbage, dysfunctional. Living in the area, I can truly appreciate the future need of an airport in Pickering. One thing that people keep forgetting is how fast Toronto and the GTA in specific is growing. Guys, While it may be able to do this in other aircraft, you can't in these specific ones.. They should make this a training issue, and ensure everyone knows.. Hey guys, Don't panic over this -- this is a common practice all over the world.
