Exactly how much are the fee's? SAN can't serve both populatons forever. TIJ had 7 Millons pax and growing. There must be a few that would fill up a flight to a popular resort where the taxes probably represent a few spins at the casino gone in 15 minutes and a direct nonstop flight would save hours.

Did the Jetstream 32 with its pressurized cabin offer more passenger comfort than the Embraer or the Saab? Both the EMB-120 and Saab 340 were pressured too. How did 1995 spike to 245,000 when other years around it averaged in the 220,000's? I don't remember that year being that extraordinary. I guess you could use North Island and just barge the passengers across the harbor. On a more serious note, ONT is a popular reliever airport for SAN.

It was nice seeing AF here. Anyone have any idea how full the flight went out with SAN originating pax? Maybe we can hope for a regularly scheduled flight in 2020. Perhaps a stop in SAN on the CDG-PPT flight a couple of times a week would work.

What I like about San Diego is that our airport is right on the bay in the middle of the city with hills surrounding it. You can't help being a plane spotter even if you're not into planes.

As long as airports make a revenue off of automobile parking, you'll never see any decent public transportation to the terminal in the U.S. short of the hourly service to get a few workers there.
