Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

United is looking to add Azul to it's Latin America JV. The proposed joint venture will be delayed due to the potential inclusion of a 4th partner and ongoing issues with Avianca. It'd be a pretty well-rounded group of carriers if they can all pull this off. "United stated last week that it wa...

Hearing there is a MOD being developed for this issue, and MCO might be doing this MOD on NGs soon. MOD will fix issue if cracks found and prevent issue if no cracks found.

Re: United Airlines A350 update

That has been discussed before. There may have been conditions imposed to allow UA to push back the order. That’s pure speculation not supported by any evidence. Why is it so hard to accept that the A350s are coming to UA? I am looking forward to seeing them. In the new livery they will be stunners...

Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

Presuming timing with the movie release best guess is late November/early December. Given it will be a 738 it’s possible the plane will just come out of the paint hanger with no advanced notice. Saw on another site that a UA738 was ferried to AMA either Thursday or Friday for the Star Wars scheme. ...

There are another 20 MAX’s that were supposed to be delivered that weren’t, so it’s actually north of 30 aircraft that would have been generating revenue. While revenue would have been higher, but not by the amount of grounded or undelivered airframes. 30 737 max let's say making 4 flights per day....

At this point, IIRC, this month United would have had 26 737MAX in service, with 4 more by the end of the year. The 737MAX is going to be a fine airplane after these issues are corrected. It will also be one of the safest aircraft flying after this, as they have been testing it with failures that ha...
