I am a little surprised how “small” EWR and especially SFO is compared to ORD, IAH and DEN when everyone here seems to only focus on those two hubs. Furthermore, compared to DL/ATL and AA/DFW, UA is a bit more balanced across its hubs.

What are you talking about? VS operates 2-3 daily (depending on season) metal neutral flights to LHR with DL at LAX. Was the $99 you paid for the whole trip or only one way? As long as you play by their rules and avoid all the extra fees, WOW offers great value. I few years ago I flew SFO-KEF-LAX for only $260!

The OP wouldn't be able to drink booze worth $100 anyway. No point in paying extra to switch to the A380.
