I would skip UA as there is no reason to a premium to fly with them. Also wouldn't fly AA if you have DL as an option. Operationally, AA is just terrible when there are delays/cancellations. So this is what Delta probably meant when saying that Skyteam failed. They are instead buying up shares across different airlines to build their own alliance.

Anyway, AA is the biggest loser here, but this will also be a huge blow for other OW airlines, mainly BA/IB. Huge win for AFKL though.

Yes. As a BA Sapphire living in Los Angeles they are my number one choice. Great flag ship lounge (the main reason I use BA to earn my Oneworld status and not AAdvantage as you get lounge access with BA Sapphire but not as an AA Sapphire), free MCE when in Y, good network etc.

The Norwegian 787-8 seats 291 passengers. So the 298 must be counting with the crew.
