There is a slim chance the MAX won't fly again. Boeing need to come up with a plan B to downgrade the frames already built and those in service back to NG standard. I hope not, but on the other hand we should de-stigmatize a "cautionary grounding". In this regard Boeing should have behaved much more maturely, and immediately propose themselves a grounding of the MAX variant. Thing is, at the end of the day, the MAX was going to end up grounded anyway...

Since you wish to compare: in Europe I would say belt are turned on 15-20min before landing when the airplane starts to descent.

ARN is 20min train with rides every 15-20min.
HEL is 30min train with ride every 5min.
Cannot recall OSL and MUC travel time but both are good too.
MAD is ok.
