RE: Two Pilots Die In Mid-air Crash At Polish Air Show

Terrible news, but just out of curiosity, does anyone the type of aircraft those pilots were flying? Unfortunately, that's what makes airshows so exhilarating and fascinating -- the danger and the possibility of crashes. These pilots are performing intense manevours, often very close to the ground w...

Here's a brief article from the Tribune. Looks like it was an engine problem after all? But does anyone know where they could've gone to dump fuel? There's no way they did it in the area surrounding O'hare -- maybe over lake Michigan? <a href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/illinois/chi-ap...

What time was this around? Did it delay other flights as well? I noticed the EI 330 and Virgin A346 yesterday landing on 4R yesterday around 4:15 to 4:30, which I thought was a later than usual arrival -- could this have been why?

Flight Delays -- Thoughts/solutions: 787-3?

Many of us have heard about and probably even experienced the recent surge of flight delays (I know I have) across the US. There are many theories/explanations as to why American flights are becoming increasingly delayed, from a shortage of pilots to a plethora of RJ...

787 Cockpit Color(s)?

I mentioned this on an older forum, but I am just curious if anyone knows if the 787 mock-up pics that have been on the web are pretty close to official? I'm sure everyone's noticed that the cockpit is colored in a sort of black or dark gray and gray, which departs from the traditional beige/tan tha...

I imagine that WAW will be seeing more and more widebodys in the coming years, particularly as tourism and business interest in Poland continues to garner attention from abroad. There's been a lot of talk of using a 6-wheel bogie on future HGW 787s, but does anyone know if Boeing has already looked into this?? And if not, how difficult would it be to accomodate a 6-wheel bogie considering the initial wingbox design did not incorporate that, unlike the 777s....

Does anyone know if the final 787 flight deck will be in the black and grey color that all of the existing photos seem to show??
