try emailing the following person (Name Kenji) he is a friend of mine (living in Tokyo)
A 747 for LOT would be a disaster! i can hardly think that an airline like lot can operate a 744 in black! don't get me wrong, iam talking about flying the bird in profit. Even if they have one or two routes to deploy a 744, it would mainly be coach!!!!! and mostprobably over the atlantic, in the ab...Jump to post
as CB777 stated , CO flies daily FRA-EWR with a very prestiquies 777.
yes, it is true that some commercial jetliners of Iraqi airways are stored in Iran. moreover there are a lot of military ones too! I didn't like the comment of 'Clouds rest' about the sarin gas.... A typical careless comment of a careless person who maybe has never been in the region to experience w...Jump to post

Hi Johnwest well i do agree with a lot of what you said. However it is a fact that TG is a bit irritated with the new formation of STAR. I don't want to go into details wheather SQ is good or not. It is a very good airline and every alliance grouping would be keen to consider them as partners. TG ha...Jump to post
Hi Tg 747-300
yes, sure money is more important to airlines than in the good old days. Very simply becuase airlines are not national prestigue objects anymore, they are simply a business unit, and every business unit has the same goal, being profitable $$$$$
Thanks for all of you who replied to my previous post. I have found another IL62 International route which iam considering to fly about middle of March2000. HY (Uzbekistan Airlines) DEL-TAS. i will connect in TAS on B2 (Belavia) to MSQ and then to FRA. Any ideas about the punctualitiy record of HY a...Jump to post
Depending on the routes they served they had mainly two classes on international flights. SU and IF had Coach and First class. IF on the IL62 for example, had 8 seats F (2 rows @ 4 seat each) On the domestic sectors they (SU) usually had one class onyl. Especially on the TU134. Nastaraovie! rgds Ami...Jump to post
Hi, well i did actually fly with IR twice. Both times onboard 747-200. There is absolutely nothing with Passenger segregation!!!!! this airline has a reputation which is more bad than it's actual service. Iam not saying the service is good but it's fair for a goverment owned airline. Besides Iran ai...Jump to post
Well this sounds a bit strange! i can't help you, but the thing i know is that airline catering in Europe is damn expensive! expect an airline to pay an average of US$ 25,- for a normal coach lunch!!!! catering is a damn good and profitable business! First Class meals at LH for example, are catered ...Jump to post
Hi Well even if Nigerian Airways starts operating to the US, i doubt that they will make the big busienss. The main players for the Traffic from to Nigeria are BA, LH and SR. They cover the top destinations LON, HKG and the US. The high yield traffic to/from Nigeria-US is mainly Oil Business related...Jump to post

Egyptair 707-320 from DAM to CAI Nov. 1990. The cabin was still acceptable but the exterior was too dirty to be described, though i have to say that it was a flight to remember, first and single time on a 707, the FA's were nice though. brgds Amir P.s usually MS (Egyptair) is fine, i flew with them ...Jump to post
well iam sitting in the office about to go home. I had enough today with stuff related to CRS and special airline fares. It's freezing outside. I saw a 747-400 taking off and it was sunset in the back, the seen was complete! .. sometimes i think we are really freaks being in loves with aeroplanes......Jump to post
Hi CSA! thanks for info. however the KHV-BKK is not available in the schedule! i think i will go for the VVO-BKK, i have to check for Visa stuff since i will be transiting MOW (SVO) and then VVO again before getting off in BKK so i might need a visa. Also i have to check the terminals at SVO maybe i...Jump to post
Thanks very much for the story. There is one thing that i noticed. The payload you mentioned 23,520 KG is impossible , the max. payload of a 707 can outstrip this figure. If we have about 300 passengers (capacity of SP) then the payload must be at elast 300 X 100 KG (80 Kg Pax plus 20 KG Luggage)> 3...Jump to post
bon jeorno! i can't advise much only that i heard from a friend who works at Malpensa, that they are in the process of replacing the dash 200 by dash 400's. Are you sure that AZ is the biggest operator of A321 in europe?? i would have guessed LH or AF. The MD11 of AZ is really good especially their ...Jump to post
yes i did check many russian airliers ut either they don't fly there at all or they use mainly 767, 777 or 313.
Vnukovo Airlines????? where do they fly from?
Even Uzbekistan Airlines are hardly using their left IL62, and concentrating on 763 !!! damn it !
hi folks, i am planning my next crazy trip to BKK. Crazy in a sense that it should be with odd airlines and aircrafts. I would love to fly on an russian aircraft once more, one never knows how long they will be flying. Can anybody help me by advising an airline which is still flying russian equipmen...Jump to post
The basic idea for the SP was around two main issues. First of all, Boeing must have felt the need for a jet to fill the gab between the then very successful 707 and the way bigger 747-100. The second main item was the issue of range as LHmark mentioned. Pan AM and SAA (South African Airlines) playe...Jump to post
