RE: Bussiest Route In The World?

Hi TWA920fly well could be whereas the a/c deployd on this route are rather small a/c (mostly 737, A320) compared with 742, 763 for Tokyo-Sapporo.(ANA alone flys 14 roundtrips/day mainly on 742) I will check it on Monday, since i have access to CRS and will calculate the seats offered during one wee...

RE: What Is The Biggest Airline In The World?

well, i guess we have to agree on certain messauring criteria otherwise you can have so many correct answers. many compare passenger numbers, or departures/arrival or generated revenue. the best criteria in my opinion is to take the unit of production in commercial aviation whichis SKO (Seat kilomet...

LH is only operating some flights with the A321 (MUC-TLV) , FRA-TLV is always operated either by A340 or by 747-200. As of Sommer schedule they will have all 747-200 flights except MUC-TLV on A321.

Happy new year

Hi Alexander, well, then i was lucky! i think their tie up with EK will improve the overall situation, EK is not fool to invest without return. I have heard a lot from friends in India that UL is overbooking like hell on their flight from Indiea-CMB to ensure a full load!!!!! did you ever experience...

US is code sharing with LH on FRA-TLV. LH is operating daily. The conex ex the US are quite good. So it does'nt make much sense for UA to fly themselfs.

RE: Is First Class Worth The Money ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Hi folks, It's interessting to read through your comments about first class. Living outside the US and flying mostly to the middle east and Asia i have a different point of view. For me the question is if F/CL is worth it compared to Business not F compared to Coach!!!!! With the exception of the US...

RE: What Aircraft Does Lufthansa Fly To Tokyo!

Lufthansa flys 747-400 al Pax between FRA and TYO. On three days they have add. to the daily flight, this might be operated by 340-300 some times.

Take care

RE: First Class

Hi DLMD-11 well, i didn't fly too often in F/CL. either ( 5 Airlines) i liked EK the best. It was a flight from Damascus to Dubai on a A310-300, though the seat was a bit too narrow for my liking, from what i heard, SIA's First Class must be one of the best! As for Business class , in my opinion, Lu...

Air Lanka (UL)

Any travel experience with Air Lanka? I only took them once and had a damn good flight! it was in 1996 from Dong Muang (BKK) to Kai Tak. It was a 340-300. Though in coach, the flight was a one ot remember, very nice FA's, very helpfull and professional. I wonder if this is the standard with UL?

RE: What Has Been Your Worst Experience Traveling?

my worst trip or rather most strange one was from Damascus/Syria to Larnaca/Cyprus. This was back in 1985. It was an Aeroflot TU154 wich was delayed for 8 hours inbound from MOW. Fianlly when the A/C arrived i went in and now comes the best part, i didn't see any flight attendant at all! belive it o...

A320 Main Landing Gear

on my first trip to India i was astonished to discover that Indian Airlines A320 have a double main gear (4 wheels per gear) i have never seen any other airline that has this arrangement on a A320. I even talked to many technichans but none knew about this! Any other airlines e.g. explanation for th...

Boeing 707. Why: simply the best! i once flew a 707 of Egyptair, the aircraft was in a misrable condition (actually it became a frighter soon after) but the feeling was too good to be described!

from a commercial point of view, A320.

i can only recall very positive experience with TG!

FRA-BKK 747-200
BKK-HKT A300-600
HKT-BKK 747-300
HKG-BKK MD11
SIN-BKK A330

all very good, especially the FA's. Food in Coach is very good.

Well, UA is for sure a decent airline, but to vote it as the best in the world???!
i would rather have SIA or Cathay.

But at the end it's up to each ones definition of the word 'best'.
