It is a political game, though. There are at least three other major countries that have been threatened with downgrades that were not carried through with. At least two of those still have major safety concerns. I do not expect that a downgrade will occur.

The airspace was temporarily closed while the FAA reconfigured the airspace to avoid the TFR area. This lasted about 30 minutes. A TFR was put in place over the blast area and a 3.5 mi radius to ensure that emergency helicoptes wouldn't have to compete with other traffic in the area.
