UA used to fly IAH-LOS, but cut that route. Ethiopian would have the advantage of both connecting *A traffic at IAH and then to various African destinations at LFW using ASKY Airlines. That route could be 3 or 4 times weekly IAH-LFW-IAH on a B788. I think they would be better served by ADD-LOS-IAH ...

I hope ET will start AMS one day. I think it could do well. They used to do AMS, hopefully they will return. Looking at "western" Europe, ET serves all [large] countries except for the Netherlands and Denmark. ET also used to fly into Copenhagen at some point. Maybe we will see them expan...

Just got a Facebook message that ASKY will operate LFW-Jo'burg nonstop using Ethiopian aircraft. Flight will connect to ASKY's network in LFW. Which means it will connect to Ethiopian's flight to Newark. Great new flight!

1220 departure from KGL isn't going to generate much feed. They appear to have an arrival from DXB at 1040 and from NBO-EBB (tagged) at 1150.
Are they going to change their schedules at KGL? If not this flight is going to be disastrous, no?

I can't see how this is going to work. Ethiopian and Kenyan already have daily London nonstop service connecting to points in East and Southern Africa. Can RWandair just copy what they are doing and be successful?

ARIK seems to be doing very poorly. I think i read somewhere that most of their fleet is on the ground. How can they be paying their lessors without generating income? Aren't the aircraft owners desperate to get the airraft back?

I would not expect DL at NBO. Not only has DL Africa dreams have largely been a failure, but more importantly Kenya would be served 1-stop, all the while DL continues to reduce such 1-stop flying. DL has pulled its 1-stop India service and continues to trim the many previous Far-East 1-stop service...

According to Airlineroute, Rwandair is making a lot of changes to their schedule. When i look at DXB flights in April, they spend 15 hours on the ground every day. I would bet this has more to do with connecting DXB and BOM to their new network. I doubt there is enought KGL-BOM/DXB traffic to suppor...

How are things with Aeroflot, they seem to cancel orders: 787, now A350. With the current state of the Russian economy, I can see they perform quite badly at the moment. This was why I was surprised to see SU add a 3rd daily flight to JFK. I would have thought traffic would be going down to the US.

When i look at Amadeus, aircraft will sit on the ground for 12+ hours in BOM. Poor efficiency.

So to get a grip on the size of the continent, using flight times might be a good way. It takes roughly 10 hours to traverse the continent from North to South, and it takes around 6 hours from East to West at the widest point.
