Re: United 747-100 at KIX

I´m talking about this photo of a UA 741 at KIX where could this aircraft be headed to SFO? Interesting... that's N154UA, one of the 747-123's acquired from American. By 1997, all those birds had been converted into the high-density configuration of 42F/408Y. All domestic-style first class, no inte...

Ships 1401-1404 are the only ETOPS non-ER 763’s that Delta operated. No, they could not be substituted to Europe. The non-ER birds have a MGTOW of 351.0, whereas the ER birds have a MGTOW of either 408.0 or 412.0. There’s a considerable weight and range difference between the two. Additionally, none...

Some additional questions : - Did all NW 747 pax aircraft have a 7 tank configuration? - If negative, which registrations had a 9 tank configuration. - JFK-NRT : were most flights MTOW limited or was the -7Q (833.000 lbs MTOW) sometimes fuel limited ? I don’t know why everyone says that the A340-200/300 was a dog - it may not have climbed like a 757-200, but it certainly met all its objectives. If it was such a dog, Air France and Lufthansa wouldn’t have kept them around as long as they have. The A340-300 being called a dog is in reference to it...
