RE: Could Alaska Look At LAX - BOG With The 737MAX?

I don't think any version of a 737 or A320 would be able to fly from Bogota to California. The high altitude at Bogota combined with the distance would probably require a fuel stop. The 737MAX would probably only be able to fly <acronym title="Los Angeles - International (LAX / KLAX), USA - Californ...

RE: Air France Cancels Remaining A380 Orders

The switch makes a lot of sense. The 777 is the backbone of the Air France international fleet. The A350 complements their fleet well especially with the A340s being retired. The A380 didn't work well for Air France, but the A350 is perfect. It is a good mix of capacity and efficiency. Air France do...

RE: New 757 Replacement NMA Information - Part 5

Rather than getting sucked into a debate about program accounting, I recognize not everyone agrees and won't. How about some other middle of the market ideas? I would think that it would be hard for a MOM to compete in the 2 class 180 seat segment. The A321 and 737-9 have very low CASM. The wing and...

You may have forgotten how cheap the 787 was originally priced. Before all the production and design problems, the selling price was extremely low for the 787. While they were not able to execute according to that plan, they originally thought development would be far cheaper than it turned out. Rea...
