RE: Emirates To Announce New J Seat At ITB Berlin

I hope this means that Emirates will put in a flat seat on the 777s. I believe they have been resistant to put a flat industry competitive seat on the 777s since it would hurt first class sales. On the A380 they have the perk of being able to offer a shower, but with the 777, if they make business c...

RE: Lufthansa Releases A320neo Seat Map

I believe that delta retrofitted the lavatory and galley configuration on 6 of their A320s. The galley configuration was not workeable. There was not enough space to setup a galley cart. They ended up having to suspend the retrofit and take a row of seats out. I wonder how Lufthansa will be able to ...

I believe that the 787 has autostart and will manage the electrical loads accordingly so that the pilots don't have to worry about starting both engines simultaneously. The 787 won't have hung starts due to pneumatic pressure dropping since obviously it has no pneumatic starters. The 787 does a good...

I don't think that the A330-200F not selling says much about the airplane. The cargo market for new planes is very weak. Everyone is interested in 767 converted freighters and other cheap options. Like others said, the A330-200 benefitted from range. The A330-300 weight increased and gave it enough ...

One thing not to forget is that you need a copy of your itinerary or ticket before the Indian security allows you to enter the terminal. Many foreigners don't realize this requirement. If you don't have one, you have to visit the airline ticket office to get one. They are near the entrances.
