Despite how cheap the real estate prices are in Phoenix, I would recommend renting for your first year. It will give you a time to figure out which community you want to live in and frankly, I think housing prices have really yet to settle there so you may even get a better deal next year.

The Civic used the be the pinnacle of the class. But now I can think of a number of other cars I'd rather own over a Civic. Then again, if it came down to writing a check, I would probably end up with a Civic. It's a safe bet. Maybe that's what the problem is with the car. Is it too safe?

You're into cars. Have you thought about a job at a dealership? Service Advisor, Sales, etc. are all stable jobs with better than minimum wage income. With a college degree and a little charisma I'm sure you can walk into a dealership and land something.

70 minutes should be plenty. The biggest problem with flying US through PHX are the frequent delays for an available gate. I've landed there 10 minutes early only to wait 45 minutes for a gate.

Puerto Vallarta is pretty Americanized. There's a giant Wal Mart across from the cruise ship pier. It's a pretty place, with great resorts, beautiful beaches and the town is nice to walk through. I've been there twice, once on a cruise and once staying at a resort. You'll enjoy it.

The Hyundai luxury sedans have absolutely nothing on the latest from Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Building a large, V8-powered RWD sedan with lots of leather and wood does not make a competitor to the E-Class and 5-series. It certainly competes with Acura. Maybe even Lexus and Audi.

The RS4/5 looks pretty hot!.

The new 2012 CLS looks beautiful. I'm also excited for Mercedes-Benz to start placing the new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission into their other AMG sedans like the C63.
