RE: Six Flags: Over Everywhere

I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain two weeks ago. I went on that "new" ride 'X' and let me just say...wow!... That is definitely one experience my body has NEVER been through. I mean for the most part rollercoasters in their various shapes and forms still stick to the same principles but man...this ...

RE: Al Queda Rooting For Kerry?

"if with Bush "United States feels safe" why under (during) Bush's administration happened the WORST terrorist attack in the History?" No one expected what happened on 9/11...NO ONE...and it would have happened regardless of who was president at the time because the US was not in any kind of mind-se...

RE: UA's New Livery On 737: Tails Are Different

Of the two photographs, the tail logo in the top one looks more like the tail of the first United 777 in the new livery. So I don't know...maybe THAT would be the correct appearance.

RE: UA's New Livery On 737: Tails Are Different

Seeing these two pictures next to each other really makes the differences stand out. Not only is the logo higher one of the tails, but the color also fades to a darker shade at the top. I have never noticed this before with any airline. I am known to be a perfectionist, and I will usually notice the...

RE: Al Qaeda Rooting For Kerry?

"Could this be why we haven't been attacked recently and won't be until after the election?" Actually I would have to agree with the exact opposite of that statement. My history professor gave our class a rather chilling prediction, but I would have to say it makes great sense. Basically there is a ...

RE: Any Blink182 Fans?

Alright guys, lay off the whole punk vs. Pop crap. It's old and there are far too many message boards around where the debate rages on. I like Blink 182. I also like "punk" music among many other variations and forms of modern rock. I don't consider Blink to really be punk anymore, and I haven't for...

RE: Southwest....The Best!

Yeah Southwest is definitely a lot of fun to fly. The crew has such an easy going, up-lifting attitude. The humor is sometimes cheesy but enjoyable for the most part. Although, I swear if I hear Las Vegas referred to as Lost Wages one more time... <img src="/discussions/graphics/spin.gif" ALT=...

RE: Donnie Darko..

Yeah this movie is constantly talked about in my house. It has been my brothers favorite movie since he first saw it about a year ago, and it is high on my list as well. I don't think there really is one explanation to the film and like someone said, you come to some new conclusions every time you w...

I have a friend that works for Southwest at SJC. According to him, they really are not flexible at all. It's basically full-time only and hours are bid on based on seniority. This sucks, b...

RE: Does Anybody Play Guitar?

I play guitar. I have two Fender Stratocasters and one Gibson Les Paul Studio. I got the Les Paul on eBay for $600. I saw that auction and could not pass up such a good price. I love it! What a steal! I basically taught myself. I took a few group lessons, and then picked it up from there. The best t...

RE: Guitar Chord Question (EGGD? Anyone?)

I always had a problem getting barre chords to sound right because my guitars were not properly intonated. If you are playing a guitar that has not been in for some proper routine maintenance, the intonation is likely out of whack and barre chords will sound rather disgusting! Before I learned about...

I'm going to miss them. Sad Sounds like they are about to phase out their -500s and eventually down the road, the -300s will be history as well. Talk about fleet commonality. Insane

RE: WN 737-700 Hard Landing

As stated above, Soutwest pilots sometimes come off as "hot shots" with their landing and taxi techniques. I fly Southwest often and I usually make an attempt to talk to the crew before or after each flight and I have talked to a few of them about the differences among the 737 variants in their flee...

I'd have to say the -800 and -900. I have never been on either variant, but I'm just not wild about how they look. They don't seem like 737s to me.

RE: If You Could Bring An Airline Back

Well the majority of you have probably never even heard of this airline, and those who have may even be disgusted that they were even mentioned in the same thread as many of the classic airlines of yesterday, but for some reason, I really liked Reno Air. They were a small airline who served just the...

The observation deck at Terminal C is pure crap. You really cannot see much at all. A few years ago I used to go to the roof of the ACM Aviation building located at the south end of the field just past Terminal C. It offers a great view of both arrivals and departures when 30L and 30R are in use and...
