I want to add to this topic also After Hajj time, when you are on the way to your home (whereever it is) you have to be at the Jeddah Airport at least 8-10 hours before the flight time. in 2003 I saw 2 Turkish A343s and 4 A310s at Jeddah Airport. I remember with an Azerbaijan Airlines of 727, we really had a tough landing to London Gatewick Airport. But it was only because of bad weather conditions.

For Hajj it is a must to be in Makkah. Of course if you have medical and economical problems, to make Hajj is not obligatory..

as far as I know to Madinah, only Saudia Flights are allowed. I may be wrong.
But Madinah Airport is not allowed international flights except Saudia...(I know this)

For Hajj there is a specific time every year. If you go to Mecca another time it is a prayer again but not Hajj. In Islam it is obligatory to make Hajj once in a lifetime..

Once I couldn`t find a ticket for Tokyo before 2 months, then I could fly via seoul. So 747-400 and A340-600 are urgently needed for Turkish Airlines. 777 s are better ...
