I want to add to this topic also After Hajj time, when you are on the way to your home (whereever it is) you have to be at the Jeddah Airport at least 8-10 hours before the flight time. in 2003 I saw 2 Turkish A343s and 4 A310s at Jeddah Airport. Also I saw lots of 747s (Air India, Saudia, Malaysian...Jump to post
For Hajj it is a must to be in Makkah. Of course if you have medical and economical problems, to make Hajj is not obligatory..
You know more than me
I went there only as a normal person not as a flight personal. So what you say is true
as far as I know to Madinah, only Saudia Flights are allowed. I may be wrong.
But Madinah Airport is not allowed international flights except Saudia...(I know this)
For Hajj there is a specific time every year. If you go to Mecca another time it is a prayer again but not Hajj. In Islam it is obligatory to make Hajj once in a lifetime..
I hope it is clear

I wonder why Saudia mostly uses 777s for European routes. Isn`t it expensive for them?
Let`s hope Turkish Airlines will purchase 2*B747-400s 2*B777s and 2*A340-600s in future
Regarding with EU, if Romania and Bulgaria will join the EU, the EU must have taken Turkey to EU 10 years ago !!!
I flew to London Gatewick from Istanbul on Azarbaijan Airlines 727.. It was 24th of December 1999. I was going to London for the new year celebrations of 2000. The airplane was empty. For the answer to scorpion Do you know that to fly to New york from Istanbul. you have to make your reservation 3-4 months before.. Once I couldn`t find a ticket for Tokyo before 2 months, then I could fly via seoul. So 747-400 and A340-600 are urgently needed for Turkish Airlines. 777 s are better ...Jump to post
