I always thought it doesn´t really matter exactly when the crew sets the flap for take off, it just has to be done before the actual take off.

It is probably company procedure to do it during pushback.

My flight was in the morning as well. I guess each flight is totally different from the next, then.

Did you considered (or felt) the pilot´s turns "extreme"? That was at least what I thought of them, and the stall indicator definetely beeped on the turns.

Now, usually bag wrappers leave handles/wheels, etc... out of the wrap itself. Maybe the difficult to handle wrapped bags don´t have the handles free of the wrapping material.

RE: South American Airport Terminal Hotels

In Lima there is one, although not inside the terminal - it is across the street, in the airport´s parking lot.

It is the "Ramada Costa del Sol" hotel.
