RE: SK To End Intercontinental Flights In 10 Years?

Not intending to side with Jørgen Lindegaard in any way, but I think he's up against almost insurmountable forces. Forget about Snowflake experiments, A330/340s, Vagn Sørensen, visions, intercontinental routes etc. The core issue is simply that SAS Group is a very difficult entity to reform. One exa...

FWIW, I think the OP is quite off the mark as well, and I fail to see what he's getting at... I find that the consistency of SQ service levels are almost unmatched within the industry, and in terms of quality of service it's still definitely way up there...

Essentially you've got 2 qualified pilots misinterpreting a critical "low oxygen" alarm, and the captain leaving the controls at the most inopportune moment possible....yikes.

Kiosks, online check-in and e-tickets are great. However, I'm surprised noone's commented on the fact that it's only a half solution. To enter security and board the plane you *still* need a boarding pass. Sure, some airlines like SK</ac...

May I offer a provocative counterpoint? I guarantee that the future evolution of commercial airliners will be utterly boring! Here's a slightly subversive question... What exactly is a *paper ticket* then? I mean all booking-, reservations-, ticketing- and payment records etc must be stored electronically anyway, right? After all, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to just walk up to an airline counter and check in w/just ...
