The A330 looks pretty good to me, although some might perhaps call it a bit grainy.

The A340 looks a bit oversharpened to me (top of red line, reg), and I think I still see a bit of a halo/border along the bottom of the fuselage.

What was the actual rejection reason? Borders? Editing?

I am really not sure what they were referring to. I do not see anything on the border of the image. I do see a slight border along the top of the nose, but I think that is just an effect of the light and not an editing flaw.

I am not sure that I see the halo even if I equalize the image, but if what people are seeing is narrow then sharpening might be another possible cause.

Does not look too bad to me, but areas that probably did it are the main lettering, the fuselage at the tail join, spots on the logo and the edge of the rudder.

Hi, The bare metal section of the nacelle does appear quite soft to me. It is probably just a trick of the light, but the eye does seem to get drawn to the engine so it is hard to miss. I think I would work on sharpening that up. Nothing else looks soft to me and the only spot that I might call over...

Cutting off the horizontal stab seems to be somewhat frowned upon, but the way it was done here should not be a motive rejection. See example 15c ('Justified clipping of stabilizer') in the Motive section of the rejection guide.

On the second one, could the #5 have been moving relative to the others? It seems significantly more blurry. The others look a bit soft, but not blurry to me. Was Motive not included as a rejection reason for the first image? I think that this would be rejected because of the equipment blocking parts of the engines.

If the primary subject is a single aircraft then I do not think that 'Airport overview' should ever be selected.
