RE: Post Screening - Derekf

The first one looks a bit grainy in the sky, but otherwise grain does not look like an issue to me. I agree that they all look soft, although not necessarily oversharpened. I am not sure about the heat haze. The top of the A350 does look a bit distorted. For the others maybe a slight motion blur or ...

RE: Resizing

You could try re-sizing in increments. I saw that mentioned here once and I find it seems to help. I normally use two intermediate sizes.

I would also make sure that your capture setting is not sharper than default.

Finally, if your quality is good you could aim for 1200 instead of 1024.

RE: Pre/Post Screening: Hendra

Hi Hendra, Welcome back! I would definitely agree that the wing shot is grainy, but I can't see Soft either. As you say, if anything it could be oversharpened. I don't really see where the overall quality is lacking, so if the noise and sharpening can be addressed it might work at 1400. I seldom try...

I think you need to work from something in the center, so I would use the support post on the right side of the gas station canopy, which I think would mean a bit of CCW rotation. The light pole does not seem to agree with the post, and I would trust the post more.
