Re: How do you make and take your coffee

I have a reputation at work, that you do not want to talk to me before 9am and/or I have finished my coffee. I am not a morning person, but having to be a responsible adult with an 8-5 job and a small child means I am up and semi-functional far earlier that I would normally like. Before kiddo was bo...

How do you make and take your coffee

After years of being a tea drinker in the morning I switched to the hard stuff and became a daily coffee drinker, even more so after DesertJets Jr. came into my life. Now I am no coffee snob but I've become pretty particular about it. I find that most coffee out in the wild, McDs, DD, Starbucks etc ...

Seems like getting his own seat is the best option. I could see doing a lap child if he was younger and not mobile. But now that he is a fearless walker he doesn't much like being held. The more I think about it now the fact that he did so well on the cross country road trip at 9 months was because ...

Advice for flying with a toddler for the 1st time

In lieu of our usual road trip back east this summer, Mrs. DesertJets and I are toying with the idea of going to NYC instead. This sounds like it could be a great trip, the only snag is that we now have DesertJets Jr, who'll be about 22 months by the time we do this trip -- ABQ-NYC. We've never flow...

At the time UA operated the 747SP LAX-SYD, were 777-200ERs banned from flying this sector? IIRC at UA the SP and 777-200ER were never operated at the same time. I want to say the last SP was out of the UA fleet by '95 or so. The first 777-200ERs came in '98 or '99. Plus LAX-SYD was among the first ...
