While this was expected since the order was made in 2010, I had not seen it officially cancelled till now. Pretty big bummer for BDL/PVD/SWT BDL was dropped over a year ago before the MAX issues. The reasoning was a tax break at EDI they were supposed to get didn’t happen....or something like that. Re: Norwegian to cancel all TATL MAX routes

Terrible shame. I enjoyed flying to Ireland for USD $300 round-trip. The business model had some obvious flaws, like lack of onward connections on either side, but where it worked despite that, it worked well. I've seen they are cancelling all transatlantic routes from Ireland. Are there others the...

they tried to focus on DUB which in fairness may have held out a bit longer if it wasn’t for the MAX but I think the overall failure was inevitable, MAX or no MAX. Delta adding point to point routes from a fortress hub would be war with AA. If DL was going to risk that it would be over MIA rather than CLT. Probably just Delta being Delta improving their operation and product with a club and more space to cater to corporate pax.

I'd guess the F9 cuts to RDU are seasonal (who really knows at this point), but I am surprised (even though I shouldn't be because this is F9 we're talking about) that they're cutting Florida routes in the winter, when more people would be flying down there for vacation, but I guess this is why I'm...

Re: Trump Hosts Meeting b/w QR and the U.S. Carriers

What about all the courts, judges and government lawyers who deal with bankruptcy cases? The tax payers pay for all of that. And it’s not cheap. Court costs pay for that. It's charged to the defendant (airlines). Its come to my attention how much misinformation there is about American bankruptcy co...

I doubt it was intentional. DL released an pro-US3 propaganda video last year featuring Trump at rallies and DL employees praising him. Last time Bastian went to the W.H. he looked extremely giddy (and Munoz looked miserable.)

Re: (Rumor) FI not returning to MCI in 2020?

I thought CLE would not come back and it is returning. In CLE FI just took a year off, but will return as long as the MAX flies. So this would be the opposite if this isn't a rumor. Definitely not a consistent strategy if it plays out that way. Is this just speculation or has this been confirmed? I...

Re: Trump Hosts Meeting b/w QR and the U.S. Carriers

This story is utterly hilarious. I remember when a lot of rah rah American posters thought Trump would go to bat for the much aggrieved US3. It's hilarious how it's working out. I remember saying that Trump is the only U.S. President to have ever owned an airline and it was run out of business by p...

Re: (Rumor) FI not returning to MCI in 2020?

What (reliable) source would a local travel agent have? Let's start here. I agree. I'm not sure this is based on much. I thought CLE would not come back and it is returning. Wouldn’t be surprised... honestly didn’t expect that route to last long, and depending on how long the MAX groundings continu...
