Re: OAG Changes 8/25/2020:Cuts Begin for 21;DL DROPS NUMEROUS ROUTES INTL ROUTES FOR SUMMER 2021, Adds SEA-ONT,MSP-TVC

Regarding BA, I don't understand why they maintain 1x weekly service to many smaller destinations like AUS, MSY, BNA or SJC. Is the nonstop yield so good - even at such low frequencies - that they don't just route people through AA's hubs? I think the ".1" frequency might be a bit mislead...

I agree. That’s a big oof for DL. I think it is an error. According to their announcements, this is really not the case. See the article below from yesterday. They were all over the news with their expansion plan yesterday, even on CNN. https://www.streetinsider.com/Corporate+News/Delta+Air+Lines+%...

The DL intl cuts are so dramatic that while it is not too surprising given the staff reductions, I am a little surprised they would do them now. Re: REPORT: American to drop routes to "two dozen" small/medium sized cities with no new aid

There's little doubt this was designed to maximize political impact. American needs a second CARES Act grant. So you don't acknowledge that those were thin, weak markets even before COVID? IPT was getting 2x daily to PHL (not even seven days a week IIRC), down from 10x PIT/PHL ~30 years ago. Plot o...

Us is betting real cash that most of the restrictions and quarantines go away after Election Day.... Jarring? I'd say this is a reaction to B6's encroachment into EWR. UA has a lot of planes and employees sitting around...why not try to inflict a little pain on a growing competitor? Not much to lose for UA. Perhaps, but it isn't as if B6 controls LGA. Thank you for the information. Relatively new ...

IMO, any meaningful level of air travel is dead for at least 9 months, maybe longer. The upcoming cuts may be as brutal as the early ones. If US carriers just didn't fly, they would not lose so much money. A lot of airline costs are fixed. Airplane leases/debt. Most of the labor is fixed unless you lay-off. You only save fuel, food, some airport fees, and a little maintenance by not flying. Fuel is fairly cheap now so that is probably...

Re: OAG Changes 7/28/2020:SLOW BLEED;AA Cuts LAX-EUG/FAT/MFR/RDM/SAN/SDF,LGA-TYS,ORD-SCE;DL Drops HAV/TGU/BOS Shrinks

Huge close in cuts for WN in August. So strange to see considering WN used to never make changes pre-MAX grounding. There are issues with the months, these cuts should say September & October A majority of those WN cuts are actually for August so it appears that some of the months are correct. ...

Thanks for the update enilria. Did BQN and PSE close down for the next few months? Looks like all the airlines are cutting flights there. I think some of the Aug cuts are actually for Sep. At least the B6 and DL cuts. Thanks! Definitely verify that. I have had problems with PR before not showing up...

Re: Southwest will not furlough/lay off workers on Oct. 1

Kinda makes me wonder if there is another CARES deal in the works that we don't know about het. I feel like I've seen hints about another one but nothing too substantial. SWA hasn't been immune to all the coronavirus losses, of course. Any thoughts? CARES2 is in the works. Airlines are optimistic a...

For the time being it is on Tuesdays. I am looking to see if there are other source options and cost to get it back to Sunday.

Thank you for still doing these. Can't even imagine the amount of work it now takes. Lots of cuts, but I'm not surprised . The airlines were too optomistic about August and the fall. 9K BNA-MWA AUG 1.7>0[0] SEP 1.8>0[0] OCT 1.6>0[0] NOV 1.8>0[0] DEC 1.7>0[0] JAN 1.5>0[0.2] FEB 1.9>0[1.7] MAR 1.7>0[...

Any day you can do it’s fine. Really appreciate all of the hard work and time you put into this, Enilria. Thanks. :) Thanks for your hard work. Interesting B6 is banking in Jan for everything to return to normal. Hope that is true. I didn't expect EK to drop EWR but I guess its cheaper to keep oper...
