One more time: EVERYONE will appreciate to see this AA M80 in new livery! Soon to be retired or not. Great plane build to last long.

I just think it is little crazy AA did not put new livery on MD80s. Really? I remember when Delta had aircraft in three different liveries - widget, interim, and Deltaflot - and then less than a decade later brought out the current livery. Also, the MD80s were PMAA; since they already said AA, the ...Jump to post
2800703 Waste of money? DL's DC-9-50s in current livery didn't last long. Probably, less than a year. DL knew it. I would guess the difference here was that DL moved very quickly to harmonize the brand image to DL (eliminating the NW brand). The decision may have been different if the DC-9-50s were...Jump to post

I think it’s not. Why spend money on something that will be retired? It’s about dollars and cents, not that you or anyone likes a particular fleet type. Marketing matters. My rule: Not planning to retire an aircraft within 6 months? Put a new livery on it. Old livery on an aircraft for 5 years is b...Jump to post

Hello all, Looking at the footage from the tug boat, it looks like the plane went in hard, with bits and appeared to be a shredded slide/raft. Condolences to the family and friends of the people lost. One thing that got me fried was somebody released a partial pax list on twitter, before relatives ...Jump to post
The S80s seem to be completely confined to DFW in the January schedule. The three ORD flights (MSP, STL, RDU) are gone. They still show up in later schedules, but I'm guessing those aren't finalized yet and the S80s will probably stay put in DFW for the duration of their existence in the AA fleet. ...Jump to post

I boarded a Southwest flight last week and picked up their inflight magazine. As usual, somewhere near the end of magazine portrays a map of cities they currently serve. "Get to PSP via ONT" is indicated on the map. Still, for years now. Maybe 10 years. I didn't forget TWA used to fly STL-...Jump to post

All, What do you think of Spirit's yellow livery? Just asking, because, today I spotted a yellow plane some 20,000 feet above ground and proclaimed "That's Spirit!" 5056355 Yellow is amazing, eye-catching color. It seems everyone is now turning their attention to Spirit. Clever business of...Jump to post
