This "test" like the one reported in Forbes magazine a couple years back, was conducted after the testers were educated in just how to get around the software and protocols ahead of time, far from unbiased. How fair a test is that? Still it makes our anti TSA members gleeful.

My favorite DC-8 standard or stretch was National in the Sun King livery and I always thought that the UA DC-8 "made" Hawaii back in the day.
Note that sitting higher on the gear permitted the CFMs to fit under the DC-8 wing and the 707's not so much.

The series 70 have engines the same or close to 737-300. The older ones with the Pratts are another issue and little wonder they are becoming museum pieces. NASA's 72 looked superb in FLL a few weeks ago.
