Re: AA Fleet Updates - 2020

One of the long standing goals of AA has been to pick up more used A319s. There were rumors a few months ago about the Alaska (ex VA) birds being a target. Might seem really crazy to talk about acquiring anything during this time, but I can't help but wonder if AA would try to scoop up any A319s su...

For those saying the A332s aren't getting retired, the question is, if int'l travel doesn't spring back much by summer 2021, which widebodies would you park? The A333s and 763s are already parked, the choice is either park the A332s, which is the next-smallest widebody sub-fleet and whose capabilit...

Re: COVID-19 Cargo Discussion Thread (Cargo Operators and Passenger Airlines Operating Cargo Only Flights)

With passenger aircraft being temporarily pressed into service as freighters, maybe the “C” container concept used by Airborne Express is worth revisiting? These containers could be loaded though the regular doors and their aircraft did not need main deck cargo doors installed. At MIA, Delta sent an...

I quite like it, except the parts where you can see 5+ crew members with forced smiles (eg the safety card bit). That was quite awkward and a bit cringeworthy. Other parts with the whole group were cool IMHO, like the mass synchronized belt buckle and life vest portions. -Aloha! It’s weird that of ...

That's still MORE seats than on LAA, LUS and Oasis 321. Seat count is only part of it. Delta’s interior is more comfortable than AA’s with better amenities and they still managed to put more seats into the airplane. I would think the 332's will fly CLT/PHL-LHR routes as they offer a PE cabin versus...

It’s definitely an improvement over the old video (the one bright side of the Oasis cabins was not having to be subjected to it), but that’s not saying much. I have to say, I flew on an Oasis 321 and it was very nice. The bins were like nothing I have ever seen on a narrowbody airplane in the US. They were enormous. United is continuing the former Continental style registrations on their 787s and 777-300ERs. American employs a similar scheme on some of their A319s and also used to on the A300 fleet, where the last 3 digits of the registration correspond to the ship number, often times followed by a random lette...
