Fantastic as all ways mate. Good luck with your return trip, it will be a great thrill to travel those trains before they are pulled. What a shame they are going to be lost. Progress?? Cunderdin. Seems to be a kite flying exercise in my book, Wellcamp shows the way, let's see what happens with this WA "proposal". If it is "ridgy didge" then there is a long way to go. You wouldn't spend $40M just to provide a diversionary option, would you? On another subject, V...

Re: What was/is considered the best of the British Airways "World Tails"?

Something from left field. I loved all of those tails. I believe they disappeared due to the not so subtle comments and actions by the then PM Thatcher. However, I feel it would have been much more acceptable if part of the fuselage of each ac had carried these designs as opposed to the tail. e.g QF...

Re: Australian Aviation Thread Part 149

Sometime ago I flew on an A321 out of Avalon for SYD. Great aeroplane, and might be nice if QF (with their 90 0rders or so for A320) may consider up gauging those orders for some of the new A321LR or whatever this long range version is called. Does anybody happen to know much about QF's services to HRE in the 1980's? I was digging around at home and found a old QF route map which shows the only route they had out of ADL was to HRE. I know QF used to operate PER-HRE and eventually PER-JNB-HRE-PER in late 1990's/early 2000's but never hear...

Two things spring to mind about this. Well, actually three. 1. This service launched 6 days after I was born 2. When my family emigrated to Australia in 1972 I believe the routing was LHR/ATH/DAM/THR/KUL/SIN/MEL/SYD but I could have left out a stop, or added one in. I think it was an Australian Gov...
