RE: Come On Boeing, What A Shameful Error Of Yours!

Funny stuff - especially the hothouse flower a.net outrage at such an error. Another of the biggies here on a.net is referring to "the Concorde" rather than "Concorde". For most Americans, the former sounds correct. In fact, I did not know that the later was preferred by many in Europe, despite owni...

How To Calculate Max Payload For 744F, PEK-LHR

This should be pretty simple for many of you experts - using the Boeing 744 Airplane Characteristics for Airport Planning doc, how would you calculate how much payload you could carry between Beijing and London assuming that it is a direct flight? I've tried looking at the payload range charts, etc....

Apparently you are unaware of the IBM country clubs (i.e., 18 hole golf course, olympic sized swimming pools, club house, large dining facility, etc.) that you find associated with large IBM sites around the New York state area. Membership was $5/year for any IBM employee. Nice perk indeed. Only cav...

The most awe inspiring sight that I've ever seen from the air was on a flight from Dallas to Daytona Beach about six years ago. Here's a question - why is some of the assembly work being done in Charleston, rather than in Seattle? It seems a bit odd schlepping parts from Nagoya (and Italy, etc.) to Charleston, then ultimately back to Seattle. Is there a thread or web site that explains why this workflow was adopted by Boeing?
