Re: Air Transat Flight Crew Arrested - Alcohol Impairment

How do they fit 350 pax on an A310? Serious indeed. Wonder who 'grassed' them up- must have been the cabin crew. Not sure about the 350 in a A310, but Transat is one of the few to pack 9 abreast in a A310/A330/A340. Highly uncomfortable but you cant beat their price. You get what you pay for http:/...

The 30-inch aisle idea is very interesting. Although, if you have 30-inch aisle and 18+ inch seats... how close are you to removing some insulation, going back to narrower aisle, and adding a seat? :D Lets see... go from 30 inch aisle to 18 inches, that's 12 inches already. Take an inch from each 6...

Re: Hawaiians 717 Replacement?

All PW-GTF powered birds will most likely have the A320 issue to some degree. Both BBD and P&W stated otherwise. The GFT on the A320 has mounted in a different ways than on the Cseries and MC-21 (which BBD designed the pylon). Apparently the BBD-designed pylon which attaches to the FAN has no i...

Re: Bombardier delivers first CSeries to Swiss

If the airframe claims up to 3300nm with pax (yes, I'm aware that's not real-world distance), then it should be able to cover that distance rather easily with none, no? I'm sorta surprised they're routing via DUB then, instead of doing it nonstop to ZRH. There were many Swiss employees in Mirabel y...

The press release also indicates the CRJ705 will be reconfigured with more seats. To the best of my knowledge the CRJ705 is a CRJ900 certified with less seats. I guess BBD and Chorus will collaborate with Transport Canada to re-certtify their 705 as 900 and fill them with more seats.
