RE: Airbus Ditch Switch

Just kidding, I stand corrected - both the main generators and APU are rated at 90kVA max, with the RAT rated at 5kVA. <TABLE BORDER=0 ALIGN=CENTER WIDTH=95% style="border-top: 1pt #28455E solid;border-right: 1pt #1B2E3F solid;border-bottom: 1pt #1B2E3F solid;border-left: 1pt #28455E solid;table-lay...

RE: Airbus Ditch Switch

Wow so this raises another set of questions - first of all, would all of these items be actuated in the event of a total electrical loss (as is presumably what happened yesterday..?) Second, I thought the RAT was gravity-deployed <acronym title="Anderson - Regional (County) (AND / KAND), USA - South...

RE: A320 Crash In NY-operations Question

Actually I just did some research and it looks like in the event of a double engine out situation the AC defaults back to direct law. Basically, no functions or protections such as Alpha Floor would have been available anyways! ...who posted that comment about "...

RE: A320 Crash In NY-operations Question

This is sorta related, but what computer mode would an A320 default to in this situation? (Ie. double engine/generator failure, RAT deployment.)

First Timer - Need Some Opinions On First Uploads

Hi everyone! I've been an avid aviation fan since I was a kid (in the "golden age" of aviation travel, when pilots would let ya sit in the jump seat on the taxi-ways waiting for weather to clear and such!) Also being a sports photographer, it was just a matter of time before I joined. However, I mus...
