Jump to postAgain, check to see if the 319's that are parked are leased. I don't believe NWA would park three and replace them with new ones.
Jump to postWOW, amazing stuff. The roll at the end is awsome.
Jump to postYour right, I could have been more clear. The segment from LHR-HAJ was operated by Lufthansa according to my ticket, although the actual airline was <acr...
Jump to postAre you sure that this flight was FR? If so, that is amazing. Seasons Greetings/ Merry Christmas to all. Hopefully someone got a pic and we will see it soon. Of course FR could be giving <acronym title="London ...
Jump to postActually WN does interline passengers. They have a number of partnerships with ATA, and they always transfer the luggage, and print boarding passes. My experience is that AA is the worst. When I fl...
Jump to postAge is a factor, the older an aircraft is the harder and more expensive it is to maintain. If an aircraft is properly maintained it can fly forever, however it appears like maybe the Chalks aircraft wasn't maintained to the standards it should have been. NTSB will likely recommend that the FAA groun...
Jump to postWhat aircraft is used on the NCE flights? 767/757?
I also am curious as to how these flights are selling.
Good the more Delta can add the better.
What aircraft is used on the LGA-SLC flight? 737-800?
Skywest is painting all their EMBs in a generic paint scheme. <TABLE BORDER=0 ALIGN=CENTER WIDTH=95% style="border-top: 1pt #28455E solid;border-right: 1pt #1B2E3F solid;border-bottom: 1pt #1B2E3F solid;border-left: 1pt #28455E solid;table-layout:fixed;border-spacing:0;padding:0;border-collapse: col...

Best of luck to Midwest, I just heard that a police helicopter has a visual on them, is that standard procedure?
Ive never heard live ATC. Thanks for the tipp, it is very cool stuff.

Jump to postIm thinking VS will probably fly a mix, might look something like, 747-8, A380, 787-10X or A350-900, etc. Possible keep flying the A346s into the future though. I do not think that Embraer has considered building larger aircraft, ho...
Jump to postWhich US airlines do not currently have such a system in place? Personally I am surprised that it took them so long to do this, I would have thought that airlines would have done this years ago. Jump to postI think NWA may wait for 737NGNG or A320NG to replace the DC-9. Or they may keep flying them, for oh, about 100 more years. I wonder, are they considering a ERJ 170/190 as a suitable replacement?

Dokken10,
I could not agree with you more.

MSP has a better maintenance facility for NW and therefore it would be cheaper to fly old planes that require more maintenance from a hub with a larger maintenance facility. Just my idea.
Thanks
I have flown US airways on a number of occasions, and have never had any really bad problems, except when I lost my bag and US did not return my phone calls for about 3 weeks.
Jump to postEvery aircraft has problems at times, this is not a Skywest problem or a United or a CRJ problem. No need for a CRJ vs. ERJ thread.
Jump to postLookin good!!!
Can't wait to see it in action or hopefully even fly it.
I would have to go with D or C, When I have checked bags I usually stand back, I have noticed it can be quite amusing to watch people sramble for bags. I would hate to have to work in baggage claim again.

Jump to postI remember that Swiss once had a deal, we could go to the airport and for a small sum (dont remember how much) we could fly to any destination that had empty seats. I think this was only flights under 1 hour or so.
