So, what does the customer code actually mean? Different configs, perhaps? But, I bet Boeing can do just fine without those numbers. Look at 787, for example. For Boeing, who bought the thing basically. Airlines have different configs even different engines on the same model and customer number. So...

I don't hate them... prefer them to the ERJ-145 slightly, but I'll take a Q400 (or even Dash 8-100/-300 up to about an hour flight) over a CRJ-100/-200.

Thats not correct at all . Nations have authorities that are allowed to make determinations on whether a program confers a benefit that is countervailable or violates the WTO's SCM. Bombardier will not be able to continue selling at $20 million prices even with Airbus aid (assuming the deal still goes through). I wonder if this is the end of it. Depends what you think "it" is... This is the end of the %300 tariff claim. This is not the end of the C-Series and legal challenges, however now the challenges will be longer more drawn out less directly impacting. WTO, NAFTA, court litigation and so on.

With the aircraft being built in Mobile I really don't see how Boeing can realistically show a threat to the national security or industry to justify a 232 investigation... but might be interesting to see them try.
