Delta did buy the 747s from Boeing, and BTW they were the 1st Boeings Delta ever ordered (becasue CE Woolman wouldnt buy a boeing to save his soul).
They were traded back to Beoing in a 727 deal and ended up with PanAm

the AA 747SPs came from TWA when AA bought the LHR routes.

Well, i would recomend avoiding the "real world" VAs like NWVA and BAV, because the real world carriers keep knocking them offline with lawsuits. Pacific West (http://www.pacificwest.com ) is a great VA, even if Don just stepped down as CEO. so are several others: Clipper ( http://www.rightflight.co...

there have been rumors that Contiental is going to fly 737NGs (probably -800s) EWR-Ireland.
Also, one airline has been operating trans-atlantic 737s for several years, Icelandair, YHZ-KEF for instance, but they are going all 757 so this will not be for much longer.

Ok heres how the VA i run works: When you join, you're put in a hub (Boston, JFK, ORD, SFO) and a rank, depending on how many hours you've logged with VAs. Each of those ranks has its own schedule, from which you can choose what route to fly. For instance, if you joined with 0 hours, and join the Ch...

Ok simple answer: CAN he: yes SHOULD he: no what he should do is buy into Roots Air, gives him the Canadian feed, with less risk, a new fleet, and no problems with ownership laws. Also, you can't pull of a "virgin blue" in Canada... the population structure wont support another low cost carrier. And...
