I just saw a headline stating that 70,000 people are stranded at Heathrow, and this thread is about one extra 777 in each direction to/from JFK? Am I missing something here?
Jump to postThe conditions you faced were far from ideal, and bringing that image up to snuff may not be possible. If you still have access to the airplane why not just shoot it again on a better (sunny) day?

Dunno. Bearing in mind that the row of hangars is angling away from the camera, I figured the door breaks were likely the most dependable vertical I had to work with and went with them. Can we be sure the edge of that grey container is vertical? I guess I just don't see the problem in the first plac...
Jump to postUnfortunately I just looked at it in Photoshop again and the door line under the airscoop also shows zero degrees rotation to level so I'm stuck. I like the shot but I can't fix what, um, ain't broke, so to speak. As far as I can tell it is level; I guess it stays rejected. Thanks for your time, Edu...
Jump to postHmmm, okay. Yup, I used the door line to the left of the nose gear because it was the longest one in view, but it's not in the center of the frame, that's for sure. And yes, it was shot wide angle. Just when I thought I knew something....
Thanks, Eduard. Think I should try it again?

Jump to postAndrew, another thought. The hour or two before sunset at this time of the year is great from the In-N-Out. If you must shoot early in the day the same spot should be about the best you can do, I would think, but realize the calendar is now working against you. If you can swing it, try the In-N-Out ...

Try the In-N-Out, Andrew. At Lincoln & Sepulveda. If the sun is out it will probably still be on the north side of the airplanes, and you can walk down Sepulveda a bit if you need to for some shots from the other side. I don't think you'd have very good results from the hill right now. Parking lot C...

Can anyone tell me if the code "5812" on the nose gear door of a Northwest 757-300 indicates the registration N581NW? I think the answer is 'yes' but would like to be sure, and have come up dry in an effort to verify. Thanks in advance for any help.

Another way to look at it: Total pixels / pixels per inch = inches. Plug in the numbers you have, or desire in the print, and see what they tell you. If you have a 3000 pixel image which the printer says he must print at 300 dpi, then a 10 inch print will result. If you were to want a larger print i...
