Re: Royal Jordanian banning electronics in cabin on US flights

At CAI you have to pass through scanners just to enter the terminal; I believe the same applies to IST and many other airports on the list. Shoes, belts, watches and glasses must be removed and even electronic items in your hold luggage tend to be inspected. Once checked in, you'll pass through at l...

Re: Royal Jordanian banning electronics in cabin on US flights

It's not just flight to the USA from these airports that are affected, according to the most up to date reports, but flights on specific carriers.

As others have mentioned, all that's needed to bypass this restriction is to book a connecting flight with a carrier other than those affected.

Re: Royal Jordanian banning electronics in cabin on US flights

The BBC is reporting the ban as applying to 10 airports; all of which are in the what the majority of people would class as the Middle East; despite one being technically in Europe and another in North Africa. It would appear the ban only applies to passengers travelling on 9 specified airlines, all...

Quick note of a MAN website problem, for anyone looking to pre-book the T1 or T3 multi-storey carparks. At the moment these will only show up on searches for bookings of less than 12 days' duration; which is a bit of a nightmare for families looking to book parking for a fortnight holiday. I've done a lot of flying with MS in J, especially in recent years, and I actually quite like the 738 cabin; the seats being quite comfortable and the wide arm rest cum drinks table a real benefit (not constantly catching your row mate's arm.
