Yea! I'd love to see the chat back up as well! It was a great place to get questions answered, and just to chill when i'm bored... which is almost all the time when i'm not at an airport, flying, or doing something along those lines.. I'll admit i'm obsessed.. but the whole point of this is.. I want...
Jump to postWhich airline are you talking about? I'm not familiar w/a AS... unless it's ASA (atlantic southeast) but why would they want a 739?
*Camille*
Hey I've had some pretty freaky experience w/this phenomenon as well. A few years back in a Citation 500 i flew from ROA-LFT-FLL-Grand Cayman-San Pedro Sula Honduras- San Jose CR- and back.. it was pretty odd.. considering my mom, dad and I were the only ones who could speak spanish and half way hel...
Jump to postBoy! and I thought 50mins from ROA-ATL on a CRJ was bad............
Jump to postHey i've flown on ASA *when i couldn't get on DL* from DFW-ATL on a EMB-120 stopping in LFT and MEI.. hmm what a coincidence.. LFT.. if we had more time i would have run home and gotten a bowl of chocholate ice cream.. :-)

1. The planes are taken to an airplane grave yard and left to R.I.P. 2. The pilots are then re-incarnated into a later life where they are typed in different planes.. --------------------- Sorry, i couldn't resist! Honestly i don't know.. but hey someone on here is bound to know :-) *Camille*
Jump to postHey Pete! It's been a while since I last saw you on here! My cousin's cousin (kinda sorta) just got a job with ACA.. he used 2 be a Comair Bagsmasher (hehe) I'm trying 2 find a job out @ the airport.. but they say i have to be 15, and w/a workin permit *in VA* to get the job washing planes @ the FBO...

Hi all!! I'm from Roanoke, VA, USA! I hope you all have a very good Christmas and Honnaka (sorry for the bad spelling), and a happy new year!!! I will be flying on Christmas day, which'll be fun from LFT-MEI-ATL-ROA. I get 2 fly on a CRJ, and a EMB-120. Well, I'll see you all later!
*Camille*
I simply got hooked, after i realized what i had, and what i don't have anymore.. but hopefully will have again sometime soon.. lol.. besides i've been in a plane since i was knee high to a grasshopper.. ;-) I think pretty much everyone here knows my story..
*Camille*
Hi all! My uncle gave me this cdrom w/ a billion planes, but it was made for FS 6.0 or something like that. I have FS98 and someone told me that i could download something called BAO FLight shop. I have no idea where to even begin looking for it! If any of y'all know where i can get it or download i...
Jump to postWell when flying from MSY-SJC or is it SJO --> whichever one is San Jose Costa Rica... you go through customs when you're in costa rica... but the fun starts when you can't understand them and they can't understand you.. that's when you pull out the magical phrase "Mi amigo! Quires un cervesa?"
Jump to postHey All! I have to do a paper for history-- it's kinda my term paper, and it's a modern european history paper. I was just wondering if there were like any major pioneers in aviation in europe/russia, kinda like the Wright brothers were here in the US. Any links, names or anything -- even just diffe...
Jump to postI think the ones in thier old livery look old, but the ones that have newly been painted look real good in my opinion!

Well now that DL bought ASA i can technically say i fly on Delta all the time. They are my first choice when i fly, of course, and i think they're a good airline, but they have their problems here and there.
*Camille*
hey.. those r my initails! my umm screen name means the N# of my dad's citation, and girl i think is self explanatory....
Jump to postSo, DL's not gettin rid of their 777's????? I'm real confused now...

I was on an EMB-120 Flight on ASA from MEI-LFT and i was the ONLY one on it.. there were just no people on that flight.. no real reason for it being empty

After flyin on ASA 4 ever being late is not an issue.. I just tell my parents 2 pick me up about an hour after the scheduled time for my fllight, and that usually works out. I wunder why they're always late. My flight on thursday was late about a 1/2 hr because the FA didn't show up! (it was still a...

Jump to poston private planes, most of the times you have club seating. pretty much every time i've flown on a bizjet or bizprop i'm sitting backwards, i've also flown bakwards on southwest from MSY-birmingham.
*Camille*
Hi all,
I never knew that ASA had BAE 146's!!! When did they get them and when did they get rid of them?? How many did they have? Has anyone here flown in one? Do any of y'all have a cool pic of one? If y'all do , could u email it 2 [email protected] ?
Thanx,
*Camille*
LoL i don't think we'll do anything tooo terribly bad while you're gone Cya in ROA,
*Camille*
Heck no! it's not worth it, that's why there's a thing called Frequent Flyer Miles! I get free 1st class when i fly on DL, which ain't many times, due 2 flyin so much on ASA.
*Camille*
P&W engines r very reliable, or else they wouldn't use it!
*Camille*
It's kinda obvious that AA is pushin DL out, but when i go 2 DFW, DL still has a nice piece of the aiport.
*Camille*
I dunno what it is, but I saw one just like it in Lafayette, LA a few weeks ago.
*Camille*
well i think the most comfortable bizjet is a Challenger becasue it's got a wide cabin, and u can stand up in it. I think the most comfortable airliner has 2 be the 757.
*Camille
ON sunday August 8th.. i'll be ona ASA CRJ, EMB120 and a DL MD80 ...
*Camille*
I'd love to have a Citation Jet, Citation X, and a G-IV SP, and a GV!!!! Then I'd like to have a 737-800, and a MD11 for fun
*Camille*
Well on sunday i saw a few planes w/the new noses. I saw one in new livery w/a new nose, it looked kinda wierd. I don't remember what planes they were, but they were wierd w/that black nose.
*Camille*
What gets me is, how can u walk into a propeller??? My condolences go out as well.
*Camille*
Heck, if that's really the case, then my dad should get his name on an ASA EMB120 or a CRJ, because for 8 yrs he has flown 2 times a week on them! 5 yrs before he got his jet and 3 yrs after including present times.
*Camille*
I like Delta's new and old paint scheme and USAir's as well.
*Camille*
Hi all, i was just wondering what the major requrirements for obtaining a type rating for a jet is.
ANy replies would be greatly appreciated
*Camille*
MEI Meridian Missippi has to be the most annoying airport. If you've ever been there, you'll know what i mean.
*Camille*
Man, i can't believe i don't know ANY of the answers! But i do consider my self a big Aviation nut! ;-)
Jump to postMine has to be LFT-DFW-ATL-ROA and LFT-MEI-ATL-ROA... the only reason is because i fly those like 2-3 times a month
*Camille*
I was just @ DFW the other week. I flew from Lafayette,LA to DFW in a Saab 340B, and it sure seemed like there were plenty of MD11's, A340's and 2 747's. I guess there are more smaller planes than what used to be, but it sure seemed like there were plenty of jumbos there.
See yall
*Camille*
Hi all! Does anyone know what the TBO (time before overhaul) on most airliners are? I would think they have to be more than 3500 hrs like on a Citation. If anyone knows the TBO for the 747, 737-800 -200 and -300, and 767, please reply! I need this info for a paper that i have to write in order to ap...
Jump to postHi all! I was just wondering if any of y'all's initials spell out an airport code. Mine are CMH which is umm.. i think somewhere in Ohio.
See yall,
*Camille*
my dad flew on pan am to london in 1985 on a 747 and he was parked right by the concorde.. he has this awesome pic of it! The concorde is extremely small, but it's wingspan is awesome. It may not have much range, but i think it's speed covers for that
*Camile*
I will be taking flight lessons @ Hillman Aviation in Roanoke,VA as soon as i get my stuff together
Hasta Luego!
*Camille*
They're more comfortable that EMB120's but not really any quieter, and they're slower than them as well.
Jump to postHi all! I was listening to the radio this morning and I heard it was the 3 year anniversary of the TWA flt. 800 Crash. I was just wanting to know, if that could be counted as one of the biggest air crashes, like in the 90's. See ya later, Camille BTW Today's My Birthday!! I'm finally 14! :-)
Jump to postI was on a DL md-90 6 days ago from CVG-DFW as well, and there was just a li'l tv show and some music on other channels.
