Re: Oregon Aviation Thread - Part 14

The connector between D and C was built maybe 10 years ago. It's a great help as you can get to the entire terminal within the secured area - excellent for transfers and excellent for choosing the shorter security line. Also, you can exit from D/E or A/B/C. the exits now go directly to the ticketin...

I had never transferred between D/E to C in the past at PDX. Notice the new (had never noticed before) path from C to D/E near the Security area. Also, noticed that the exit point from C is closed near Security area and we have to go all the way the MAX gates to get to Baggage Claim. When did this c...

Re: Jet Airways to start two new routes from Europe to India later this year

How does DL/KL/AF baggage policy work with 9W to US? From India, 9W allows 2 bags free for Y passengers to US. On the return from US where they will first be taking the partner carrier, will they allow free bags as per 9W policy? Earlier if I remember right, AA wouldn't allow EY's allowance of 2 ba...

Yes, it's the 4th one within a month or so of from inauguration of 6E at IXM. But, this seems like a temporary one, similar to the HYD-IXM-HYD from 6E.

PDX-ABQ was done only by WN I think. Whenever I traveled, it was full. However, it was always going onward to other destinations.
PDX-DEN will be great, though there is quite a bit of competition I guess.
PDX-PIT will be nice too, giving another option for visiting Niagara falls. :)

Though I would love to see a PDX-DXB from EK, I doubt it will materialize. PDX may be able to sustain the A330s, but wouldn't the A330s range be a little off for this distance?
