Martinair also flies 747-200's into ATL...

Ironincally I saw a new SAA 737-800 with wingtips fly in last week to ATL however obviously it wasn't a scheduled flight, it was probably just a stop over on a delivery flight or some other sort of anomaly!!

Delta really wants to fly ATL-HNL, but as Maniac correctly stated, its been turned off due to pilot/crew rest issues, NOT poor financial peformance. DFW-HNL is not as viable due to the competition from AA.

None of Delta's 764's will have PTV's in coach, nor are there plans to put them in. The initial seat spec included PCU's as future provisions, but there are absolutely no plans to put in PTV's especially after DL has accomplished the E/C seat mod on the 764's as well as being in a financial crunch.

DL's 777 crew rest areas will be above Door 1 for the pilots and above door 3 for the cabin crew. The pilots get 2 bunks, 2 seats and a lavatory. The F/A's get 2 seats, and 8 bunks.

DeltaSFO ...yea you're correct, although the 777 slimlines will not be AS slimmed as the 764's or 763's due to the Seat Back Video Monitors.

I also wanted to catch my typo from my previous post. The first 777 goes in for reconfig in Nov '01 not '02 as I typed by accident!

Fanoftristars, you are correct in your analysis. In my post though, I referred to domestically configured aircraft, however, DL has Internationally configured aircraft that fly domestic routes in there scheduled rotations. To answer your question, there are NO 757's with BusinessElite seats on them....

LOL 242...most seat cushions and dress covers get replaced every 6 months....some airlines go a year...not sure exactly if the cushions get replaced upon retirement. I doubt they do however.

The 777's are not really going into overhaul per say(i.e. its not scheduled maintenance like HMV and MV) however the first aircraft will go into mtc visit for F/A overhead crew rest and 3x3x3 E/C configuration installation in Nov '02 up in Greensboro NC
