Re: Long-haul Y pax experience: Boeing 77Ws and 787s vs Airbus 350s and 330s.

I agree that the A330 has a great configuration. However, we really enjoyed our recent AC787-9 flights to and from London. We sat in the middle and found the seats very comfortable for a 9 hour flight.

Re: Any Experience with the Airbus factory tour in TLS?

Visited in 2013. I was a little disappointed. I thought it would be more than just the A380. We only saw the final production line with three Emirates examples. I thought we would see all the production lines. We had flown to Europe on an A380 so the mock up of the cabin was disappointing too. I am ...

Air Canada 767 flight hours

As most of Air Canada's remaining 767-300 are early builds inherited from Canadian Airlines, how many hours have they accumulated? These have been amazing work horses for AC so it would interesting to know how much they have actually been used. Thanks.

Although the A380 is very comfortable and quiet to fly in, the 747 has something very special about it. So my vote is the 747.

I have noticed that when flying on a Westjet 737 they tend to fly higher than Air Canada Airbuses. Is this just to save fuel or company policy or does a Boeing 737 actually fly higher than an Airbus 320 family?

RE: When Is AS Retiring 737-400 Combis?

My guess is that some of them remain for pax/cargo in the north. They needed to replace their aging 737-200 as has Canadian North who is updating their -200's with -300's. I think there is a niche for the Combi 737 in remote Alaska and northern Canada.

I noticed some 767-300 have three doors instead of two. I thought this may be an exit requirements for higher density layouts, but all 767 with British Airways have the extra door and they operate them in all classes and do not, I believe, have any in high density.
